a few doubts regarding the compensation offered by Infosys to fresher engineers:
1) The gross amount is mentioned as 'XXXXX' per month. However there is something called a Training and Performance Incentive (TPI) which is supposed to be from 4% to 12.5% of the gross salary. My question is - is every employee assured of getting a minimum 4% hike once the training is over, or its given only to those who do well in the training?
2) I have heard rumours that Infosys has started increasing the pay of freshers who have completed 6 months, by some amount. Further, there are rumours that this amount will be increased from the start for the people joining June 2006 onwards. Can someone confirm this?

Hi Akshat,
As per ur first quest is concerned the minimum amt of hike is given to everyone who clears the training successfully. It is dependent on your performance in the Comprehensive tests that you take during the training period.
As per your second question, yes it is true.

had given the infy off campus in Delhi on 26th march '06!! Got thru the written..but havn't received the Interview result as yet..acc to them they wud mail us d result in 2 weeks..!! But haven't got the result as yet..hmm..so the possibilty being that they don't mail d rejected ones or the results have been delayed..! Cd ne 1 help me out in this context with simlar experience of theirs ..or ne other suggestion..!!

i have done my schooling from CBSE board.having %age in 10 and 12 respectively 75.6 and 79.done engineering from rasjasthan university jaipur.
now can the infy people tell u.don't u think it is wrong on the part of infy to not specify their eligibility before making people join them.how bad will it be for them to leave infy after joining it.clearly the fault lies with infy.anyway kindly check for the above board n univ.i have applied to infy now.

It is difficult to comment on this issue. They have not defined their criteria. Yesterday only few of our batch mates were forced to resign because they didn't had specific(that was not specified to them earlier)percentage in either 10th, 12th or Engg. Also, they have different criteria for different boards and Universities.
I can just say keep your fingers crossed.

??: ..we havent got the joining dates til now palak...last yr my seniors got it in may n im expecting it to come to our collg in the nx 15-20 days...but m xpecting it be sumtime in september cos my seniors also joined in sep last yr...waise bhi iv heard that non-IT branches have thr joinin a little late...lets c...degree gettin over in mid june...agar joinin late hui thn wil go back to delhi n chill out for the remainin months...waise the salary news is amazing..
...i had also heard of sumthn like it but now that uv confirmed, i can be sure of it....cool...the more the better... ..hehehehe....
P.S: ru gettin ne gifts for the 2 billion dollar announcement and the silver jubilee celebrations...heard that CTS gave away video ipods to evry employee for touchin the 1 billion mark...

hi guys..i'm in graduation final year now..i will complete my engg in may and would get my certificates by july...
am i eligible right now to apply to jobs at infosys..or for that matter ,any other software companies..
can i put my resume in their website now or shall i wait for sometime so that i get my provisional degree certificate?
will my chances of getting a call frm the company for the written exam increase if i make someone from the company forward my resume ?

feels nice to be witnessing so much action in the infy thread.
well i am in mysore right now, and my intention of posting in this thread is that some one somewhere asked if their percentage is enuf for getting selected into infy.
well i wld like to add that infy is very serious ba the percentages.
this is ma 5 day in mysore campus, and i have 77% in both 10th and 12th and 66.42 % in ma engineering, they dont specify what the cutoff is but the cutoff various for different universities.
i was very nervous maself when i heard the termination part from the HR.
but hope it shld be fibe for me, as another guy from the same university as mine has 63.6 in engineering, and HR said that is fine
but just yesterday one dude got terminated cause his percentage is 65.6 and his university cutoff is 66.
also since we were offcampus recruits there is a relaxation of 2% in ur marks.
but all said and done, if infy is serious ba anything then it is the marks.

I read in DNA website that this year infy ll increase the salary of emp from 14-18%. How far its true (I mean regarding this figure). And does this figure apply to gross salary or only basic salary. And what about the freshers joining after mid july and in aug. Do they get the benifit too ???
If it is also to the freshers then...... wah kya kehna :)....
I ll join probably in aug 1st week, hopefully with a better salary.
I haven't got my detailed letter yet. Just got one letter after getting thru in last week of jan 2006. Althuogh they have mentioned the monthly salary there..
Does that mean, My pay ll not increase :(....God knows.

Hi Akshat,
1) The duration of training for Long Cycle batch is nearly 4 months.
2) If you were told that %criteria is 60% and above then dont worry. It may be so.
If you wanna know exact criteria then contact HR person mentioned in your Offer.
3) No, hike for freshers is after 6 months of joining.
