my training begins from the 17th of this month and wld post the experience soon.
and btw i have zero software knowledge too
but what is needed is an aptitude to learn and i have loads of that
mech engineers can survive anything if they clear mechanical engineering design and TD.......lol

relax man, iam also in 8th sem., i also got placed in july. I got their offer letter the next month but hav not received any jng date yet. Last yr ppl frm my clg joined on the 8th of aug. So r jng cld be anytime in july or aug.

Hi guys me a fresher with electronics background. Problem is that my academics is not good. My aggregate marks is 56. My only saving solace is that i'm from pune university n here only the marks of final year is mentioned on the degree. I got 60percent in my 7th sem so i'm confident of getting a first class degree. My 10th marks is90percent and 12th is 85. So can u guys tell me what chance do i've of getting call for aptitude test. Secondly do employee referals helps in getting call for test for freshers.

Hi Anish,
I understand your concern because I have also been through the same phase--without job for more than 8 months. Please dont loose heart as your final sem is yet to go.
Regarding Infy's off-campus call--they ask for simple aggregate of all the years to be more than 65% in most cases, but they do have relaxation for some Universities. Simple aggregate means the sum of marks obtained in each semester or year, as the case may be, divided by the total max marks.
But dont loose heart and keep trying. May be they call you. I will further check regarding the same and mail you. Till then just concentrate on your final sem.

Dont panic man. If you dont know something abt computer, it is good, if not, it is better.
If you get selected in infy then the training that you will get here will make you self sufficient in computers. What you need to do is just be a little serious during the training. Unlike other companies, the training here at Infy is considred to be the best in the market.

It is difficult to comment on this issue. They have not defined their criteria. Yesterday only few of our batch mates were forced to resign because they didn't had specific(that was not specified to them earlier)percentage in either 10th, 12th or Engg. Also, they have different criteria for different boards and Universities.
I can just say keep your fingers crossed.

had given the infy off campus in Delhi on 26th march '06!! Got thru the written..but havn't received the Interview result as yet..acc to them they wud mail us d result in 2 weeks..!! But haven't got the result as yet..hmm..so the possibilty being that they don't mail d rejected ones or the results have been delayed..! Cd ne 1 help me out in this context with simlar experience of theirs ..or ne other suggestion..!!
