Guys i got placed in infosys in September through a pool drive. My offer letter is still pending. However i made a big boo boo while filling out the online details prior to the test. I filled in my B.tech Stream as Computer Engineering(CE) instead of Computer Science & Engineering from a drop down list. Is this going to have a serious effect? How can i change this? My university does not provide any CE courses.

Should not be a big issue i suppose 😃 details you provide during joining will matter a lot.
btw, my suggestion is keep tryng other opportunities as this time infosys has deferred the joining

One of my friends has 1 year of exp in manual testing. He wants to join infosys chandigarh. Does his work experience sufficient to get into infosys? Please throw some light.

1) Infosys does not have special unit as testing
2) Infosys usually asks an exp of 3 years

as far as i know(afaik), infosys do not have . Other companies like IBM might have. I will check tomorrow and get back to you

Of Course there will be loads of forms to be filled as soon as you join :)

Actually
1.Infosys does have a specialized Unit for Testing called IVS.
2. Vacancies normally depend on the particular time frame. So I can check on the Internal Infy portal and get back to you !!

@chandrakant.k ....bro.. i have a query..in application form filled during my interview in campus in marks column i have given cgpa on a scale of 10 (7.95) and we dont have any conversion factor so % of marks =cgpa*10=79.5, also we dont follow any marks system ...but in given marks scored and max. marks column,i have filled 795,1000(assumed) just for sake of representation just to confirm that 7.95/10=79.5%.........should it be a problem..becuase this is not given anywhere in marksheet but i can justify the same ..its just based on interpretation and to clear confusion........are HR people liberal on such interpretation or not..should i be given same form to fill again during joining...???.please reply...
@abhishekgoa This should not be a problem. You can explain the same in case of any query. Your form which you filled during placement will cost you only if you are not clearing the eligibility criteria. You details which you enter after joining should be accurate. You can make sure what to entry before filling the form 😃
