hello friends, I have been selected for Infosys, Accenture and Cognizant through campus placements last year(september 2011, 4th year 1st sem), All the 3 offer almost same package. Infosys has given the DOJ as NOV 19th, 2012, the other 2 companies dint give the DOJ yet.Initially i thought of joining Accenture or CTS because they have less workload and good projects. But now Im in a dilemma whether i have to wait for Accenture and CTS or join Infy without taking risk.I have 2 questions in my mind which need ur help friends:1. Which is the best of the 3 companies Infosys, Accenture or CTS regarding training, projects, workload and growth. 2. Keeping in mind that the IT market is slow now, will me waiting for Accenture and CTS will be risky Thanks in advance.
if u do not wish to take any risk (which I feel u do not wish to !!) go ahead and join Infy , otherwise CTS is performing quite well compared to Infy for the past 2 years on a macro basis......in terms of work culture, policies , frustrations 😉 etc , all IT cos are one and same .....

1) One thing is for sure, you will get a call from other 2 as well. may be you have to spend 3-6 months in home. Training infy is best at least they say so 😛 :P. your brand value will be created..
I do not find much difference among any of these 3 companies. There are few rules in infosys which will be a trouble sometime in future. Not sure about other 2. Accenture, you will get good hikes. CTS though the outside world feels they are giving good hikes, bonuses etc etc i still find my friends getting paid less than me 😛 😛 although not by a big amount..
Career wise since all comapnies are big ones i do not find much difference. I know infoscions cursing infosys i know CTS employee cursing CTS.
2) Regarding bench: depends on which technology you wil be trained and in which comapny. There are technologies which at any time will get projects immediately. And there are other technologies which have long bench period.. SO its all your luck..

Training is Bestest Best at Infosys. As I have quoted in my earlier posts too .. evryone will get a lot to learn here.. But CTS is definitely a good company to work. I wud prefer CTS to be joined rather than Infy.. Although training at CTS sucks a lil bit but you will be given a project in whatever technology you are trained while in infy every fcking thing is random..In CTS your performance is appreciated a lot and other benifits of leaves* and No Bond period** can also be enjoyed there... Regarding projects, all companies are unpredictable for a new joinee...
My personal opinion is Go For CTS..
*In CTS 1.5 leaves are credited evry month+sick leaves and floating holidays are also there while infy gives a fixed 15day holidays in a year that too crediting in installments on a quarterly basis.
** CTS no bond period at all..while infy will at least take your 1.5 years(including training) for sure whether you like it there or not...
I feel everybody needs to relax here. Just do some course and all or try to find a temporary job. Sure others have had a head start over us in their career, but the speed at which over career goes is only decided by us. So chillax, Give your best in whatever you do. It helps.
I have been selected through pool campus recruitment on 25th september . Can anybody tell me when does infy officially give a confirmation of my getting selected. Till date, i only have the list of names who were selected in the drive published in our college, but have not got any official communique from the company. I have heard that they do give some sort of offer letter to recruits before issuing the joining letter to passouts.

Congrats 😃 The confirmation will take some time 😃 it will be before the completion of your engineering for sure . Thay had given me after 6 months 😃

Yes that is indeed sad 😞 . This is done due to lot of reasons which only a higher management can answer.
regarding your joining date, it all depends how infosys performs in the next one year. If infy regains its momentum(which is what we observed in the last quarter) then there will be lot of projects coming up and your joining will be soon.
Also, the joining date depends on your college. If your senior whom you are talking about is from your college, then you can assume the same month of next year i.e 2014 june to be your joinng date.
My suggestion, dont relax now. Now you have a job. so try every possible company in every possible way, and have as many offers as possible in your hand so that will leave you with choices at the time of your graduation :)
Can some senior plz help me out... I am 2012 B.Tech passout. I was placed in Wipro whose doj is 5th Dec, and in Infosys whose updated doj after the postponement is 22 April. What should I do? Join wipro or wait for infy?
And can i join wipro now and break their bond on april and move to infy? Will infy create any problem if I do so (as i will no more be a fresh grad since i will be joining infy after resigning from another company) ? Thnx
@nitroagent but there are rumours that they are not going to take all remaining, even if they take they ll remove max by elimination test. is this true? is the situation reached that worse? is there any chances of cancelling the offer?
@ramu12300000 Regarding elimination by test, you can't predict anything. It depends on the difficulty level of the papers. When we joined that time also joining got delayed and we joined in Feb. Moreover due to lack of projects we got an extended training.
As per trends Infosys always gave joining to all selected candidates however they may got delayed.
