For the training period (which is not 5 months now, of course if you score good) you will get 13.5k. After the training, you will get 22-24 according to your performance in training. After you complete 1 year in production(which is 1yr and 3-4 months in Infosys) you will get a raise of around 5-8% which depends on your CRR. Further promotions and hike depends on the rating(CRR) that your manager gives you.
Regards Sahil Kataria Systems Engineer Infosys, Chandigarh
Sir is the raise 8% for system engineer?? Sir if they are paying 24000per month then as a whole it amounts to 2.88lpa then how they are mentioning the package to be 3.25lpa. One more question do they give bonus after joining in production for the first month??

There is a difference between the in-hand salary and the CTC. The CTC is 3.25 which also includes the PF, gratuity etc.
You do not get any specific bonus in the first month after joining in production but u surely get a fat salary to compensate for a slimmer salary that you were getting in training. 😃
Sir , I want to have a clear cut idea regarding the growth rate in infosys. Suppose if a person joins at 3.25lpa then for the first 5 months the salary is 13.5k.Then after that 22.5k on 6th month. Then what will be the salary package(including training time) after two years of joining??
After two years ur salary wud be around 5-6 thousand more. I guess you can take a maximum of 30 K after 2 yrs
My friend is in Infosys and billable for a project... He want to quit with 1 month notice period .. and ready to buyout 2 months.. but manager and HRs are not in mood to reduce notice period anyhow.. please suggest something..
Hello All, I took up an interview with Infosys yesterday 25th Feb at the Bangalore campus and got selected for Technology Analyst. The HR was completed on the same day.
Would like to know how long does Infy take to roll out the offer letter and is the status generally updated on the Infy job portal?

Your offer letter will be dispatched to you within 1 month. Congrats!!!

Nothing much can be done except convincing the manager or else approaching SPM/GPM/DM and try to explain them the situation. It's all in their hand. I have seen people given release within a week despite being billable if the manager decides so.. Last option would be of absconding but it should be avoided as far as possible.
Hi, If someone takes a leave at the loss of pay(say 1 month), does that period gets added up to the total work experience?? as in, if he leaves, that 1 month is there in the experience or deducted from it???
PS-kindly answer only if you are pretty sure about it.

Generally the relieving letter contains only the date of resignation from the company. Coupled with the date of joining letter, only the intervening months are counted(without deducting the lop period). It may also happen that company writes the total months of employment in relieving letter, which maybe with or without deducting the lop period. In other cases, the new company may look at all pay-slips or first and last pay slip only.
P.S - In my case only date of resignation was mentioned, so I added my lop period in my total workex. For ex I was employed for 21 months out of which 1 month was lop(loss of pay). But I added it in my total workex.

In the relieving letter the date of joining and the date of the resignation is mentioned. What happened in between those dates stays within the company only and they dnt mention it on the letter.

I want to do MBA from any of the top 20 institutes of PG list of most preferred institutes.I have not wrote CAT before and haven't yet started preparation for the same .
here are some of my queries :
Q1 . In case I join infosys this year and appear for CAT '12 and manage to do fare with the exam then with this sort of profile do I stand any chance of getting calls from renowned institutes of India like IIMs , XLRI , NITIE , FMS , MDI ...??
Q2 . Should i wait for some years to begin my MBA journey in order to obtain some work-ex ..if so then how many years of work ex would suffice ?? Is there anything like that freshers are not preferred over experienced people during placements.?
I am in great dilemma these days unable to figure out what to do in this situation...expecting some .

Many will say .. get a 2 yr work ex but my opinion is if one gets a top 30 instt then he shud start his MBA. Go for workex if u r firm that u will return to IT after MBA.

Most of the colleges don't have any requirements set in stone when it comes to experience. Even for the colleges that have a requirement, they just say "work experience preferred".
I know friends who were freshers when they applied, who have got admits into the schools you have mentioned. Also, when it comes to work experience, there is no preferred number of years one should have. If you have quality experience of just 1 year it is way more valuable than 5 years spent answering phone calls.
i am B.tech (civil) graduate from vellore institute of technology..passed out in 2010..i wanted to persue mba but couldnt manage in that year due to some issues..
following that i joined M.E program at Bits Pilani in that year as couldnt waste 1 yr for preparation by sitting at home..
but till now even after completing M.E i still think i should have done MBA..
1. would it be fine to prepare and apply for mba now?...are there guys who do MBA even after M.E?
2. do colleges accept such guys or it may be a negative point for me during interview time.
since my academic background is not that ground i particularly aim for top private institutions.
academic background : 10th - 78.8% 12th - 70.4% B.tech - 80.6% M.E - 70% + no work experience...
