Does infosys send ant letter to the address given, before or during my training period? Or are all correspondence made through only e-mail??
I am asking this as there is a slight confusion between my mentioned Residential Address and Corresponding Address and I fear that they might send letters to my Residential Address (the address of my native place, I don't stay there) rather than my Corresponding Address(where I presently stay)...
Yes i too got placed this September.
CSE and IT students have been offered six months internship training with infosys in our college hence we have got our letters earlier.
The mails would be an offer letter followed by an accommodation update. Mail could come as early as May 2012 or as late as Feb 2013 it depends totally on INFY there is no pattern in it.

Everything that i have received till now i.e the offer letter and the call letter has been through Email so no worries my friend.
Hey happy new year everyone! Well, i got placed in infy in september. I got a letter of intent,a couple of days back. When can i expect the training to start? I am from mech engr dept and sat for the interviews just to keep it as a back-up,incase nthing else strikes. And hw much is the take-home salary during the training. They mentioned the gross salary is 3.25 lakhs. Once again,have a happy new yr!

My DOJ (Infact the DOJ of my entire batch) was extended from 9th January to 6th February.
Could someone from Infosys give the possible reason for the same? Some people out there are speculating that there is a possibility that infosys may not call us at all if we do not join by march.
Also, I have heard from people that freshers have a very hectic schedule and they are not free before 11'O clock. So, Can someone elaborate the actual schedule of a trainee? If someone is afraid of repercussions of posting on a public forum, please feel free to PM me.

This is not an official Infosys thread so you will not be able to know the exact reason for extension of your DoJ. There can be many reasons for that:-
1. Business reasons
2. Availability of accommodation at Mysore ILI Hostel
and many more.
Don't believe in rumors. Rest assured, you life at Mysore is going to be the Honeymoon period of your entire stay in Infosys and IT industry. So, look forward to enjoy it.
There are no repercussions of talking anything in public forum.
And they will definitely send you a DoJ and absorb you in a training batch. So, stop being cynical.

Can anyone tell me how much amount I would have to pay as bond amount if I leave the company after my 6 months training at Mysore?
I have a joining date of 5th march at mysore. I had taken an extension and prepared for CAT but ended up at a measly score of 92.37 percentile.( 16th nov slot, but thats another story). Since infy is the only offer that i have, i ll ve to join it! However i really want to take a serious shot at CAT 2012. my training will hopefully end up in september . my querry is, can i join a test series during the training? are any centres for weekend course nearby? and how easy or difficult is it to,prepare with the training? since, i ve already taken CAT once and wud still have around 2 months time after training, i think i can do with a couple of dedicated hours every week!

1) What is the cost of fooding in Infosys,considering we get a stipend of 4k?
2) There is a Career Launcher Center in Mysore,I wish to prepare for CAT..can joining weekend batches be fruitful?
3) Suppose I get any GD/PI calls,will leaving the campus for this have any adverse effect?

Hi,
1) Generally the food would cost you around 120-150 rupees per day. Meals are available for around 30-35 rs.
2) Yes, you can join the center. It would depend on your time management skills so that ou can cope up with the training exams as well as the mock exams and classes for CAT. You will some students who go for such classes there. As many of us are interested in MBA after all :).
3) You can take leave if it is 1-2 day case. But you ill not be allowed to take leave for more than 4-5 days during the training period at all. 1-2 days would be fine.

As u already know that Infy has bond of an Year which starts after completion of mysore training.If u leave Infosys within 1 year of your probation u have to pay an amount which ll be determined by HRD.
It ll depend upon certain factors which includes
1.) The nature of project which is assigned to u.
2.) Total utilization.
3.) The amount of money spent on ur training which comprises of all
the facilities provided to u.
This amount ll vary from person to person.

You should have posted this by this time, in order to avoid creating panic & confusion among others with revised doj of 20th feb & 5th mar; as they are yet to receive the accomodation mail.
Dont worry guys, who have got offer letters - as infosys is one of such best organization at least with high ethics & value, and never cancen any offer; but they can change doj at their will - which is very clearly mentioned in your offer letter.

Yes, as of 13th January, I have received the accommodation mail and yes I agree that such questions are troublesome. But, I had not received the accommodation mail the day that I had posted this. So, I was also a part of the worried crowd.
So, anyways, I'm off to mysore now. Hope to meet you guys there.

Waiting it out will not do you any good as far as I understand the situation. Your account has been locked by the authorities so they should be the one to unlock it.
Try sending a mail to [email protected]
Do not forget to mention your candidate ID and the date that you received the original mail instructing you to login.
That should do the trick.
