Attrition rate is not so high and according to new policies If one fails in any test and again fails in re-test then he/she will have to join the new upcoming batch for training (re-training from scratch ) and company gives you exit only in case you do not clear even a single test in re-tests...
But do not worry so much even before joining, just have your concepts clear in C,Java,Rdbms(these are generic training courses). And you have to just refer the material provided by company, no need to refer any thing else during training(neither u'll get time nor they'll ask any question out of their material)

Yes ...work exp certificate is provided even to those who r unable to clear the training....but don't worry....training is not that tough...people make hype of it... In my batch only 2 trainees were shown the door out of 720.....so worry not....All the best!!!

I have my joining on 23rd of Jan and I will be reaching Mysore on 22nd of Jan in between 8 and 9 pm can i get entry into the campus at that time? Or can i come early morning on the day of joining say 6 or 7 am and be provided with accommodation???

hi frnds i m in my 4th year of engineering..i got placed in infosys this august..i prepared well for cat and other institutes this year.my cat went very well bt still u cant b sure of anything as u dnt knw what normalization is and how would they give u percentile so i want 2 ask if i join infy in 2012 in august wil i get enough time 2 prepare side by side along with training....(hope it doesnt happen,,,,,, keeping fingers crossed)
you can get ample time by getting intermediate.its 1.5 mnth complete freedom n if u get simple stream. u still get time. i gave all my papers in bangalore while in intermediate. just left on saturday evenin. gave on sunday and came back in evening.

@insamtrehan generally Infy Mysore {for trainees} dont allow anyone to enter after 9pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends.
As far as getting entry b/w 8-9 I dont think they will allow you as there are many procedures to follow, you will be allocated room in one of the hostels, and there are other documents that needs to be verified and I dont think there will be anyone to do that at that point of the day.
Are you saying that you are joining on Friday, I think you must be asked to report by Friday, trainees join on Monday only as far as I remember.
Anyways in my opinion you should stay outside the campus only on 22nd Jan, and please decide beforehand as to weather or not you want to take risk coming to the campus as its in outskirts and you wont find any hotel in vicinity so stay back in city only and join on allocated day only.

hii friends & respected Seniors,i have a query regarding the recruitments oF IT Giants Like Infosys frm MBA sector(specifically IT Domain Grads)....i wanted to know the kind of profiles they offer to ITBM(IT Business mangement) profile people,and the "PACKAGE" they offer for that same....as i hv seen many hv been recruited as Associate Consultant,so if this is one of the profile,thn what was the package offered to them??,and what role basically they will play at the Industry Secondly what are the recruitment procedure for Infosys on campus,that is do they conduct aptitute test like in that of engineering campus or gives a direct offer for interview?

Yes i too got placed this September. CSE and IT students have been offered six months internship training with infosys in our college hence we have got our letters earlier. The mails would be an offer letter followed by an accommodation update. Mail could come as early as May 2012 or as late as Feb 2013 it depends totally on INFY there is no pattern in it. [email protected]yup it is used for extending your joining date, drop em a mail. Good luck.
