You can register on various jobsites such as monster, naukri etc..Plus you can also follow 'chetanasforum' which has some up to date info about latest walkins and so on..The answer to your next question is pretty much yes, there are more walkins in Bnglore..

Have read (and also seen photos) of how beatiful the campus really is... But are all of the facilities provided for free... If not, then what are the facilities which will be free??
By the way, I have just been selected through on campus placement during my B.Tech (E.C.E.) , 7th semester...

Well, food expenditure totally depends on every person and his/her eating habits.. There is CCD and then there is domino's plus at least 1 dinner outside the campus every weekend..
My advice will be that don't think too much about salary and all.. Just enjoy those days as you will never get them back..
But just FYI you get around 13-14 k in hand after all deductions including accommodation charges.

Yes, it is true.They are having different range of grades, based on that they are giving different incentives.But that is not a huge amount it differs by some 500 bucks.

nothing much to worry about- just go through the basics of reasoning - specially syllogism(deductions) part.. rest pattern is:
LR (30 ques. 40 min)
2 puzzle sets of 5 ques. (moderate)
1 set of DI (easy)
1 set of deductions
1 set of figure completion
VA (40 ques. 30 min)
sentence correction, RC, fill in the blanks etc.
for interview:
be honest, confident,fluent and speak throughout in english..

If you are good with reasoning and english then no need to worry you are through....
for prepration just practice some puzzles from RS Agrawal verbal reasoning..if you have time solve as much puzzle as possible..in my case all puzles are from RS Aggrawal...:D
Pratice Blood relation and syllogism well.
jst brush up your quant part but dont waste much time on it...jst mug up the formulaes.
For english no preparation is needed..simple grammer,articles,sentence correction,type question...
The thing you really need to work upon is interview.....they never ask any single technical question so no need to study engg subjects at all.
But yes you should be fluent in explaining your project again no technical thing ...
Pratice with previous paper...and the last tip be cool during paper and manage time well...All the best buddy

Dude nothing is free there..for all the facilities they will deduct your salary...but dont worry the amount deducted will be far less than the facilities you're gonna enjoy there...you have to pay for hostel rent,food,gym memership,multiplex etc. but amount payable is very less .

during training guys will get 13.5 k and gals will get 14.5 k after deduction of hostel charge ....training duration varies from 4-6 mnths depending upon ur performance and the stream/technology. u get there ....
my date of joining is 14th november
when do they send that medical test mail ? dothey define the period in which we have to take all those tests, can't we take those tests by ourself earler?

The problem is that the training is supposed to start in Jan 2012 but i cannot join then due to family reasons.Will they allow me to defer the training by 3 to 4 months as i will be able to join then.I also have been selected in WIPRO so should i forget about INFOSYS due to the reason stated above and join WIPRO where joining will probably be in aug 2012 which suits me fine or will INFOSYS allow me to postpone the training by 3-4 months ?

Hey Bro first of all congrates for getting selected..
dont worry u can postpone your training provided you have a valid reason..like medical emergency or some sort of family problem or some important function like marriage etc.
On receiving the offer letter in which your training date will be mentioned u can contact them and tell them abt extension...so be cool and enjoy.:cheers:
