You won't get leave as such if you tell the reason of attending GD/PI. You will have to fall sick ;).
It also depends on your batch in-charge in training. As far as I know if you are smart enough, you will manage 2 or 3 days here and there but not more than that. So try scheduling it on weekends as far as possible and don't forget to take the centre as Bangalore..

I am going to Give CAT, SNAP and NMAT this Year...
And My Date of Joining is 19th December.

All the GD-PI sessions are going to be in FEB-MARCH 2012.

So Will I be Able to Attend them ? As My Training will be ON at that time...
Will I be able to get a leave or two for that?
or I have to shift them(GDPIs) on Sat or Sundays?


that depends on how good ur batch owner ( i use to be one good batch owner)

if he is friendly enough, then u can go and share the same reason..as in faking u can harldy manage a day or 2 holiday...

so it would be better to share with ur BO and get his support..it would make ur work easier...

They will just ask for the photocopies of your passport and pancard. So you need not worry about the originals. They will just be used to verify the photocopies and will not be kept with them.

Basically im from Delhi and i got selected in Infosys and my Joining is near..I really wanted to work in DElhi NCR badly for some reasons but have no choice...So Im about to go for Infosys...and I have my apprehensions
Right now Im wondering if I can Switch easily to some other company in Delhi easily.....after having experience...
Could anyone plzz GUIDE me regarding this..How much experience is enuff to switch. Plz Plz Help

Infy training is one of the best u can get...the 4.5 months would be the most memorable days of any infoscions

And obviously having work ex from Infy will work in ur favour when u apply for other companies...(its afterall india's second largest IT company)

after training u will be in bond for 1 year..so in effect u will be in bond for 1.5 years ..and 2 years would be a good time to switch...

See Dude, Almost any IT company you join would have the same equity and recognition in the market once you decide to do an MBA.

And as far as lesser work pressure and wrk environemnt is concerned, it totally depends on the project you are on. Infact I have joined Infy post MBA, and I have seen engineers on the bench for as long as 6 months and more post training, and they do have loadz of time to prepare for CAT. I am not sure how this works in Accenture.

So apart from the Infy training( which would be hectic), I think you should get atleast a good 3-4 months preparation time for CAT.

it is very easy...even if u have'nt prepared for it..

for RC's i'd suggest you read the questions first and answer them as soon as u find them in the passage.
for maths basic formulas will do

All my question is how to clear verbal with confidence because there are lots of rules in usage of words when i refer CAT books...

Is ther any specific book that concentrates on error detection n sentence correction...

Hello guys..i may sound silly ...but can u ppl tell me from where can i know about the upcoming off campuses of the IT companies (i registered on their sites, but nothing comes :shocked:)...as of now i'm in 4th year doing B.tech..got an offer from TCS , but they will give joining around oct-nov '12...so i want to appear for the off campuses also.. Another thing i came to know...in B'lore walk ins are very frequent than Kolkata...is it true?

Read the last 15-20 pages of this thread but couldn't find the answer to one query that I have...
Have read (and also seen photos) of how beatiful the campus really is... But are all of the facilities provided for free... If not, then what are the facilities which will be free??
By the way, I have just been selected through on campus placement during my B.Tech (E.C.E.) , 7th semester...
