I hv joined infy,mysore on 1st august and ll b giving CAT this year.Can anybody tell me what should i write in work experience column during form filling for any MBA Institute as currently my training is going on.will it be counted as work-ex..Anyone now in infy mysore preparing fr CAT...if yes pl reply..

The Infy training is technically counted as work ex by most of the b-schools but no sure how much it would help you at the time of interview but that's different thing altogether..
You can enter whatever months you complete as trainee before the deadline in the work-ex column..
I'm a B.tech 5th semester student and my current CGPA is 70.7%. Due to some problems i could secure just 58% in my 2nd sem and afaik Infosys asks for 60 - 65% in Btech. So will it be a problem ? Do they want 65% aggregate or 65% in each semester ? 😐

In the meantime I have got job offers from Cognizant and Infosys. I can't decide which one to join. I don't want to lose focus from my cat preps. Please suggest. Badly need suggestions.

No one can tell that exactly. It depends upon which project you get, doesnt matter whether it's Infy or Cogni. Just make sure that you get a good work-ex which will help you in your placements at B-skools :)

its not just during training...even for prodn folks they are not allowed..
Also all sort of storage devices like hard disks,pen drives(ofcourse all most every one have pen drive in their pockets
) are not allowed

This is a very subjective question and depends entirely on your time management.
Having said this, no doubt that Infy training is rigorous and if you can find 1-2 hr consistently for preparation during it, it would help you a lot in later stages of preparation.
Once you are posted, lot depends on your project requirements and your role in it. Though on an average, 1-2 hrs on weekdays and around 5-6 hours on weekends apart from mocks and their analysis shall suffice 😃
Lot of people have prepared during infy training and job and made to most coveted b schools of the country. So, need not worry , put the efforts and success shall be yours 😃

Well, infoscions have prepared for CAT during training and its not impossible. But having gone through the same training, i'll say that its quite tough. Its my opinion and I found it to be tough. But I know some people who did crack the exams during training too.
There will be times when u have to be in the class from 9 AM to 10 PM. Whereas on other days, ull be free by 5 PM. Weekends will be completely free.
while after the training, initially for some months you will not be very busy and u would be easily able to devote 2-3 hours daily.

Its an urgent matter where i need advice from ex infoscions, i joined infy training some days back
i have got offer from another company, they will offer letter if i tell them date when can i join, i have signed offer letter but not the service agreement, i wish to know how and when can i leave soon as possible , prefer to go 4 payout also,pls pls tell how many minimum days will be involved

Well, I resigned from infy last year and I was in training too.
You can give your resignation letter today and you will be out of the company by tomorrow. The formalities dint even take 1 day and they don't create any fuss in accepting a trainee's resignation letter.
The bond amount will be notified to you through mail in approx. 1 month.

All the GD-PI sessions are going to be in FEB-MARCH 2012.
So Will I be Able to Attend them ? As My Training will be ON at that time...
Will I be able to get a leave or two for that?
or I have to shift them(GDPIs) on Sat or Sundays?

You won't get leave as such if you tell the reason of attending GD/PI. You will have to fall sick ;).
It also depends on your batch in-charge in training. As far as I know if you are smart enough, you will manage 2 or 3 days here and there but not more than that. So try scheduling it on weekends as far as possible and don't forget to take the centre as Bangalore..
