As u hav mentioned that u hav offer as AC. So u must be recruited thru MBA institute. Can u plz advise wat is infy's selection procedure at campuses during recruitment for MBAs.

Im a Bsc Computer Science graduate and i got placed in Infy as Operations Executive.. The salary offered is about 15.5k per month which is comparatively low.. I heard that the Bsc students will be sidelined in Infy,, is it true?? Im planning to do mca/ms through distance education.. Hw many years shld i wait to get promoted to level 3 ie, System Engineer?? Wat change does it make if i do pg through distance education?? Plzz help..!!

No man. Your profile may not be equivalent to SE but you have a well defined profile and no company sidelines its employees. You will have to wait for atleast 3 years to be promoted to SE. If you do your pg side by side then maybe as soon as you finish and submit documents, in the next promotion cycle you'll be promoted.

The first one wud be kinda technical where in u can be asked what did u do durin ur MBA n all, plus questions related to ur wrk ex.

The second interview was just a formality for most of us, where you were being told how much u wud be offered and what position u would join and all, and if you would wish to take up d offer .

NO. Personal Laptops are not allowed inside the campus.
But you can carry company provided laptops to the campus.
But these laptops will be provided once you are in some project but not when you are a trainee.

As u have mentioned, if u had a chance ..its better to complete MCA and join as SE...

ur work profile obviously here is not equivalent to SE and it takes 3 years to come to job level 3...(ofcourse even then to become SE , u need to clear one test..which is easy though)

I had been into trainig for both SE and ASE guys and its my personal opinion...do look out for priorities..like if doing MBA is ur final destination, dont waste time doing MCA..take the offer and prepaere for MBA exams...

and do verify whether MCA through distance education is same as regular one or not and then decide

Yep. u ll get a room even if u come on 10th evening.

do get it confirmed as Infy generally asks u to come 1 day in advance....and they plan every thing accordingly....when i joined , some of my friends who came 2 days in advance took a hotel room outside for 1 day....

What is one supposed to do in order to take a leave when a person has not been allotted a manager in production? Can anyone else grant him an approval for leave? If not, what does one do if he is ill and may not be able to work?
Can anyone throw some light on this?

generally u would have been introduced to unit HR as soon as u were into prodn unit

so u can contact him for further info

The unit HR says that we gotta wait till we are allocated a manager. does it happen that way?
What else can one do if such is the case??

Hey dude..
just open ur dashboard in harmony. click on the link who can see my dashboard.
the name of the manager will be mentioned over there. Just mail that person and apply your leaves

I am a 2011 pass out from NIT Rourkela with a B.Tech in Ceramic Engineering.
I have offers from two software firms:- infosys and polaris. could you please help me out in choosing the right one?

I have plans of doing MBA in near future. So i want to work in a firm where i could get time for MBA preparation. So please guide accordingly.

p.s. polaris offers a ctc of 4.25 lacs/annum where as infy is offering 3.25. But i have been hearing stuffs like " polaris being a small company will give a lot more projects and so u will hardly get any time for MBA preparation"

I have recieved my offer letter and my DOJ is 1st august. however i ll be done with my supplimentary examination results only by september. since infosys does not accept joining without a marksheet and frowns upon a backlog,should i try to extend my offer on medical grounds? please reply. i really do not see a way out of it.:(

infosys doesnot accept active backlog
So i can only suggest you to extend ur joining date...............in that case u have to inform them atleast before 1 week of joining
u may delay for 1 month on medical background.
