I only wish to ask If I clear any MBA entrance exam( CAT 2011 ), what would be the way to break the bond and how much time and money does the procedure take (as I might have completed only 6-7 months after training)

What is the notice period duration....?
Notice period is 3 months in prodn...but ur PM can release in 10 days even....
No one will be able to say the exact bond amount as it varies from person to person and HR generally keeps the info confidential....try ur luck by sending a PM to those guys who had already left.....If u dont know any, PM me ..i will give u a contact

U would be having increments based on ur performance and economic condns as a whole......i hope u know abt CRR's
Since u are already into prodn units, the best source of info would be the seniors in ur project......U will get a lot gyaaan:lookround:

2) Can we move to the managerial side too? If we can, then what are the grounds for the same?
3) At the pre placement talks, we were told that infosys sends people for an mba too. Can anyone clear the air on this regarding avg duration in company before one becomes eligible nd other eligibility criteria?

It is true that Infy calls people in certain order. But we can't assume it follows the same order for every batch. Just to give an example, from X college, 2008 batch has been called in June08 while 2009 batch has been called in February10. You can take clues from this example.
When you say Managerial side, is it technical or is it business related? If it is technical, then after 3-4 years you will become Team Lead where you have to manage people. If it is business related, you need have vast experience in that particular field or you have to be an MBA graduate.

Yes, Infy has a policy for Higher Education Support. We can't disclose all the details on a public forum. I will give few details: Only part time/distance MBA is allowed. Some good colleges from Top 5 are in the list. You need to have min. 1yr of work-ex with Infy to be eligible for this and you should be a consistent high performer/good performer during your tenure in Infy. You can get all the remaining details once you join.

Breaking bond with infosys is not that diffucult .
When u break the Bond if u are not a permanent Employee there is no Notice period .
u can leave in a day or two ..
if u are a permanent Employee(this happens only after 5-6 months traing +1 year probation period) then
you have to give notice to the Company 3 months b4 resignation ....

1 year executive MBA's from foreign universities are also allowed and infact Infy would pay a part of course fee and u have to come back and serve a certain period...or pay back the amount Infy has given u
there needs to be some high level approvals also backed up by good performance in compnay....and one more clarification is u have to comlete 2 years in service to be eligible
But it would be better if u can go to regular MBA if u are planning for a career shift ...
Hello, i have been selected at campus recruitment at my college in january. however my 8th semester examination is going on, and i missed a paper cause of a severe road accident! i will have to reappear it again in supplimentary exams,held in october. i still have not got my joining date or offer letter? would i lose the offer because of the impending backlog. it would nt be shown in my marksheet once i clear the paper,because i was absent on medical grounds.

You have a valid reason for missing the paper...just send them a mail and they will surely look into the issue.It would be better if u send some supporting documents with the mail..

Thanks, would a medical certificate and related medical documents do?or should i cook up a story about my having an accident,when the joining date comes!people have advised that it would be easier that way,cause infosys frowns upon backlogs.

I have heard it from some of my friends who have got offer letters and joining dates that infy has revised the salary structure for freshers and under revised scheme they will get 3.8 lacs after their probation period. some infy seniors plz corroborate this if its indeed true....
Can someone guide me regarding the issue.

INFOSYS in its offer letter has clearly stated that a student must not have any active backlogs and must have percentage above a certain criteria.Thus I think you must consult your TRAINING AND PLACEMENT OFFICER for more clarification.I would suggest you to read your OFFER LETTER again

You can extend your posting that for a maximum period of 6 months on the basis of pending results or some genuine reason(accident etc) before joining. Otherwise also you can go their and ask them to continue till your results come. But that is a risk.

Probation period is 1 year from the day of posting.that is around 1 year 6-7 months after joining. And the salary is the same for our batch also(2009). Means we are getting 3.8 after probation(which ended in jan 2011)

No buddy! There has been no hike for freshers it`s still the same. During probation period ur ctc will be 3.25 which will be 3.76-4 after confirmation (i.e after 1 n half yrs
) based on your cgpa & job band.BTW there has been a 10% hike this yr only for those employees who have been confirmed before 31st march, 2011:lookround:.
