I got selected in Infosys Campus placement organised in our College(offer letters yet to be sent to everyone).
The problem is that, at the time of placement, I was not actually eligible, but somehow I managed to sneak in. But at the time of induction(July-Aug), I will surely be fulfilling their eligibility criteria.
Now, the question is- Do they crosscheck and try to match the info (especially semester-wise marks and mark-sheets) which I will provide them at the time of induction in training to that provided at the time of placement??? If they match the marks I had given at the time of placement to what I give proof of at the time of induction in training, then the marks will vary a bit(though still showing eligible), and it will create trouble for me plzz help I am really getting anxious about it. Those who have got entry into Infosys....plzz respond to this...

Well you seemed to have created an ethical dilemma for ur self!! AFAIK you need to submit copies of all certificates to them at the time of joining, whether or not they will compare is anybody`s guess. They do compare it with the originals but no idea if they compare it with the marks you have given at the time of the interview. If you are lucky enough, you might again "sneak in".
Sorry buddy but i dont really think anyone can help you on this! Its a matter of ethics and they EnR team is pretty strict abt it. But whether they do check or not is not something anybody here can tell. Just keep your fingers crossed.

Going Off-topic, I stumbled upon this thread some days back, grt job by guys like Hemanth etc.... Although i`m no longer with Infy now(worked there for 4 years) nice to see Infoscions coming to PG and helping new joinees. Kudos to u guys!! 😃

As far as i know , it would not matter

the only thing that matters is when u are joining , u should be satisfying the required criterion.

hi ..my query is b-school specific.

I have been selected by infosys as an acon but have not got my joining date yet (neither the offer letter). Did any of the b-school junta where infy visited get their offer\joining dates..?

Is this the right thread for this query..?

I am not sure whether any one in this thread can help u

the people in this thread are b.tech freshers and most of the guys (almost every one ) who replies here are Systems Engineers (may be MBA guys might be very busy with work)

Jokes Apart, Infy generally gives joining date 1 month in advance (its for engineers, i think same should be applying for ACON's)

there is no other active infy thread....

i think you would have got a confirmation mail/letter where there would be a mention of Contact HR, its better if u can write a mail to them

Well, not a dilemma,but I have landed myself into a confusion whether or not I will be taken in. It does seem that all they should be concerned about is whether or not I fulfill the criteria at the time of joining, because they have already officially selected me after duly checking all the documents at the time of placement. But still, smtimes I just fear,if in case they match the marks being finally submitted, to those given at the time of placement then what..... 😞

Not just for the training period, they are not allowed even after training except for the case they are provided by the company.....

query:- I have 1 year gap after 12th preparing entrance after that i did my BE..I do mentioned the same during filling of application form during the written test ..I got selected and got offer letter ..do it will create any problem.

I just got my joining letter today as ACon.
Joining date - 25th May
Location - Hyderabad
Compensation - Watever u were told at the time of ur selection.

Regarding Laptops, when I joined infosys it was allowed to bring in your laptops in hostels.
But they keep on changing rules every month so it might be different now.

i believe u must have joined in 2008 or before that....

from 2009 they were not allowing the laptops ( courtesy: the trainees themselves)

for prodn folks they were never allowed

I have exp of 2.4 yrs. Got offers from multiple org. Among them Capgemini & Infosys are the major ones(In terms of brand value,reputation). Although the final call needs to be taken by me, i wanted an opinion about which company to join. Compensation and role is same at both org.
