I'm afraid, no one responding to my quote, even HR' not responding over mail/phone, Just I wanted to know whether verbal offer given to me is false offer or still have any hope , since mine is lateral requirement(9+ Years) and Infosys is my dream company,due to this I denied 2 offers(Wipro & HP).
Can anyone pls take it seriously and respond , whether I have any hope to get into Infosys or not, getting offers from other companies is not a big deal, but I'm dreaming about Infosys

I gave interview on 23rd OCt 2010 , Saturday,
I have been there for nearly 6 hours and cleared all rounds of interview and I have offered and decided on role,salary part. I asked to wait 10 days and within that I will receive my offer.
Since I already resigned my present job and I have another offer from HP, this I revealed during my HR round and HR quoted as Hign Priority on my application form.
3 weeks completed still I haven't receive any communication from Infosys.
I wanted to know, whether offer is still open or not ? if not why false offer given to me after completing all the rounds of interview and decided role and salary part.
To be honest, I denied HP offer once I got verbal offer from Infosys. Now, I'm totaly in confusion whether to wait or not? as every day counts in career growth.
Please atleast let me know the offer status

My CTS DOJ was in september and Infy DOJ is in December. Since i'm an MBA aspirant, i chose to join Infy so that i can answer CAT in November and then join the company in december.
The only advantage with CTS is that there is no bond.

This offer came as a mailer to the employees, asking for reference. Hence, I guess directly sent across CVs might not be responded to. If anyone wants me to refer them for this offer, please PM me. i m put into Finacle Testing training :banghead:.. Can anyone tell how experience in product testing be of any use when i move to a different company. i hear a lot of negative feedbacks such as
1) Finacle testing experience cant help in finding a job in other companies after 2-3 yrs
2) no onsite oppurtunity
3) Slow growth prospects
4) lesser salary when compared to developers
Are they true ????

I went through recruitment process on 26th of sept.11 of us were selected for interview,which was conducted on that very day.But,none of us have received any mail yet.
Even if any1 is not selected,will infy guys send us a mail of rejection?or its to be assumed that none of us have been selected.

Hi Srikanth,sorry that i could not solve ur query for that i do not have much info abt the lateral joinings in infy...but tomorow i would talk to my collegues who had joined recently by lateral entry and would know exactly how much time HR folks take in finalising the offer....but with the current requirement in infy and market in general..there would not be a chance that they backtrack on their offerPS: hoping to see u soon in Infy 😃

I appeared for off campus interview of infosys at nehru place,delhi on 25 october and after interview they told us that you would be informed about your selection through e-mail within 4 weeks.........since then,no communication has been made by them and i wanted to know whether infosys declares the results on time or delay should be expected.........i am a fresher.....chemical engineer,2010 passout....and i also wanted to know that will infosys give joining immediately in case of off campus recruitments..........?

I will not be in a position to give info on CTS as i have not worked there..
neither i can compare both,but will give u info on infy and its up to u ,which company to join
Infy Positives:
(1)very well defined training structure...almost every one agrees with it
(2)good brand value for a fresher
there would not be many rejects as u might fear..if u take total trainees trainied in a year ,the rejects would be atmost 3 to 5 %(in the worst case)
there is no choice of location of posting(but now a days most of them are getting their domicle as posting
)no choice of technology or project u are going to be placed(but it would be the same case in any other company)
what i feel is Infy is good enough if u are planning to stay here for atmost 2 or 3 years

There will be a number of tests. You 'll get a communication from Infosys regarding what all tests needs to be done. You dont need to submit the reports, you need to just submit a note on hospital's letterhead that all the tests has been done (in the performa given by Infosys)

1. Not at all true. You can find number of jobs in testing domain.

I have completed a training on CCNA but have not yet appeared in the global certification exam..Right now M busy with my MBA exams till 2nd of Jan (XAT)
and have got my joining on 14th Feb..Mysore..

To be true, whatever certification you do, you wont get any chance in Infosys for project selection. If you want to join Infosys, its better to first undergo training then according to your project do the certification.
There will be no benefits for doing the certification now. If only you get a project on networking (for which chances are bleak, seeing the number of networking proj in Infy), there are chances of you having an edge over others.
