Hi, Can seniors tell the time duration (in days/months) for the following stream program (including post, batch release et al):

1) .NET
2) JEE
3) ES
4) Finnacle

Wait for your joining and you will know. Generally, it is same for all. Why are you in such a hurry?

P.S.:- Don't use bigger size fonts unless necessary. We are neither blind nor fools. 😃

hey guys, i got a re appaear in my 8th sem. but i can clear it before my DOJ. but wont get the results for like months. CAn i join in my original DOJ or shuld i extend it? will they allow pending s8 result?

can anybody who is currently undergoing training at mysore confirm whether we are allowed to use the GEC computers after work hours. And are we allowed to log on to all MBA websites like TIME and CL for giving tests in the evenings. Coz i got news from someone that everything you do on their PCs are monitored and many websites are blocked. I need to know this coz it will affect my mba preparation a great deal if true...

also the training is 26weeks for non cs it and is of 3 levels, with 2 breaks in between. what and how long are these breaks? does anyone have an idea?

GEC PC's can be used after office hours and all the above mentioned sites open without a problem. No issues.

We even co-ordinated and had a Pagalguy meet in the Mysore campus where 7 puys showed up!

I'm trainee in infosys... Completed my training n going thru product training in finalce stream....

I join in march last week...

Now i got selected for SBI PO n wanna quit infy....

Can any infoscions here give my any idea of how much i need to pay to brk da bond...

Frds r suggesting dat i jus leav da cmpany... without intimation...

I cal the amt i need to pay..frm guidelines in our service agreement n it cam out to ard 2 lacs......

Do any one hav any idea how mch i gotta pay?? r negotiations possible...... Pls reply soon..... I'm waiting for help.......

Can ppl in infosys stream training now tell me the advantages of each of the following streams.....
(I know that it is not in our hands to select stream:-()

1) JEE
2) .NET
3) FINNACLE
4) ES

I heard ES is good as it involves SAP training.

ES have SAP but not all get that..
Finacle is Bnking product from infy (can be proud that it competes well in the internationl market)
other streams they will post u in any IBU based on the requirement when u finish the training .

and being a Service based company, you will not be having more choices..
you will be thrown to any project any practices within the company..

if you are more specific on the stream you gonna choose, you need to be more lucky to get that in infy

but it will be a good startup company for a career.

Spoke to a friend in mysore 2 days ago and he told me that there is a 1-week holiday for diwali.

I don't know what is the situation now, but there used to be a test in first week to decide whether a short batch should be started or not. That test was for only CS and IT people.

so any idea if we will get holidays during winter and new year also. :)

the holidays from oct31 st nov 7th were givn because,there are only 2 working days in between and so those 2 working days are compensated by 2 sundays of work in october

if we have continous holidays like suppose holiday on tuesday ,wednesday
then monday would be given holiday(which would be compenstaed by working on one saturday...ofcourse this is not done always)

even if u have any,it won't have significance

all CS/IT folks by default would be in short term and non csin log term ...the only difference being non cs folks have 20 days of extra training where in they learn basics of computer like operating systems,C language which would be skipped for CS folks
rest of training remains same irrespective of ur back ground

Hi all

I am having 3 years of work experience in Mahindra Satyam. Now am looking for a job change and I got an offer from both Infosys and Cognizant.

I attended the interview for manual testing in both the companies.Now am in a sort of confusion on which company to join. Pakage wise Infosys pays more around 70000 is the difference. Designation in Cognizant is Programmer Analyst and in Infosys is Test Engineer.

But since am in a state of confusion to where to join. Kindly let me know your thoughts on the companies and tell me which one will be the better choice in terms of work and growth.
