The initial batches got the hard copy when thy reported here.
AFAIK for the latter bathces the hard copy was mailed bt not all people recieved it ...
For the joining formalities, printout of the soft copy of the offer letter should be fine ...

They will surely communicate the DOJ as soon as they finalize it. Infy does honor all its offers so dnt wrry about it. You wl recv a mail when they accommodate you in the next batch ...

My date of joining was extended from 12 th of july due to incomplete documents at a time of joining.Actually i have some tabulation mistake in my second semester marksheet and at a time of joining i have not a fresh copy of that.Just after i week i have got it and mail to them.On reply they have asked for my next date of availablity to join.I asked for any nearest date of joining.But yet not got any information.As i belong to cse branch if any one has any idea please help me.

It does ask for a medical report stating that you are physically fit and have passed the tests specified by the company. You wud be required to bring the medical report and get it verified here.
You wl get a mail specifying the tests to be done nd the places you can get it done. You can get it done in any of the places they mention ...

Well, I have a doubt in my mind.I m a ECE guy and I have a interest in software development.I hv been selected in Infosys.I wud like to know
1.How is their training?
2.After being trained for the 26 weeks can I design applications, softwares
and websites on my own?
3.What is the value of Infy training & infy work-ex(both individually) in IT
market?
4.Wud I be eligible for jobs in Electronic companies like LG,Sony,Intel etc.
on their software sides?
5. Would be I able to join any other company which develop products(software offcourse ! ! ! ) and not a service or maintenance after
leaving Infy.(with or wothout work-ex??)????
how hectic is the training at mysore? How is the day allocated. I know that 9am-12pm is lectures and then 2pm - 5pm is lab sessions. Then after that r v free to do self study or are we given specific assignments to be submitted the next day? Also, do we have to work in a team to do the assignments if any? I need to know whether it'll be possible to study for CAT in the evenings. (it'll be possible if there are no compulsory assignments.)
also, when are the tests held? on mondays? and are the test timings in the morning or evening or after training i.e. after 5pm? are all the tests multiple choice answer based or do we have to write programs?
are we allowed to take leave during the training at mysore?
I need to come back home for 3 days- saturday, sunday and a monday for personal reasons. So, if there is a test scheduled on that monday, will i be able to take it later or will i have to forfeit it alongwith my cpga?

You are not allowed any leaves during training except for weekends. You can check with HR for the details.

Ans. There is no value of Infy training. The value is of Infy brand and your knowledge

Ans. Software side yes. Embedded Software side only if you have are having work-ex in the same. If you want to join Embedded Software stream then it is better to try it in these companies as a fresher or ask Infy to give you Embedded Software when you are finally given base location.

Ans. Yes. Again it will depend on your knowledge.

After 5PM or 6PM you are free.
Also, do we have to work in a team to do the assignments if any?
Yes, there are assignments and you have to complete them during Lab Sessions. Lab Sessions are meant for that. Also, you have to complete certain projects as a team and submit them with some modules.

It will depend on you. Some people manage to study and some don't. My friend used to come in the first category and I in the second. He cleared IIM C and I none.

After the module ends. No matter whether it is a Monday or Friday or Tuesday.

Depends on your Batch Owner. Mostly in the morning. Compre are held entire day.

Yes, they are MCQs. During Compre you have to write programs too.

Call them up and ask what is the matter. HR would be the best person to answer your query.

hey guys. im heart broken. my only placement was with infosys. now i hav failed to clear an exam when my s8 results came out. i dunno what to do. i have to join infosys in november and the next time i can attend the exam is only in december. Pls help me. It was my dream to join infosys. my current offer letter says DOJ can be extended only due to medical reasons. i belong to a poor family and my parents are also very sad now. i dnt want to see them sad everyday like this.

By designing you mean to create websites? Right? If not then let me know.
Infosys training will certainly help. But if you wish to create a website of your own than you will have to work hard yourself. Most of the stuff on the internet is done on PHP, Javascript, and other scripting languages. So, if you want to host your website then you must know them. Or you can use a Content Management System like Joomla, Wordpress to host a site of your own without doing no or minimal coding/scripting.
You can PM me if it is not clear.
Infosys training is proficient enough to make you go on. It is upto you how you utilize it.
