we will have to select bangalore as a center for MBA exams. The time to travel from mysore to bangalore is 3 hours and then from bangalore to test center would be say 1/2 an hour. Also, we have to be at a center 1 hour in advance. That means we have to leave mysore approx 4.5 hours before the actual exam time. Most exams start at 10 am. So is leaving the mysore campus at around 5 am allowed? Are there buses (volvo ones, rite?) that ply so early?
Also, what are the timing restrictions of entering and leaving the mysore campus during training?

ya...we can leave at 5 a.m and dere are volvos from mysore evrytime.....timing restrictions are dere....weekdays in time is 9.30 and weekend 11...and we can enter campus only after 5 a.m.
another question i forgot to ask is about posts and couriers. Our MBA entrance exam admit cards and anything else for that matter will have to be posted to us from home since we give our home address for correspondence. are we allowed to receive post and couriers in the mysore training facility? also, any idea about how it goes about ... like the addressing part...
ankuchheda SaysAre we allowed personal laptops at the mysore campus or is there a strict restriction on it? How important is it to have completed the material snet in form of modules before trainig for the Non- CS/IT guys?
No personal laptops are allowed but u wl b alloted a system once u start with ur technical training ...
Its always an advantage if you complete the material beforehand.
You wl understand the things easily nd you wl nt feel the pressure ...
It always helps to go thru the material but its nt a compulsion !!!!
Repeat Post
Hey thanx,
Well it does make a little difference but anyways that's k.
Yes im aware that delhi ncr dsnt have DCs but i heard that employees are posted to all the technology centres once probation period is completed, is it true?
What difference does it make if its 4 mnths or 6 mnths ...
U r talking about continuing a course whose placement is not even worth mentioning ...
wats the use of completing such a course ... u would again be at the same cross-roads at the end of ur course...
Only medical reasons are allowed and that too, u wud hv 2 produce proof for the same !!! U hv 2 attch scanned copies of medical prescriptions etc. along with the mail u send asking for an extension.
Infy does not have any development centres in the NCR region. The closest u hv to delhi is Chandigarh but the posting is very random and depends on the business requirements ...
Hope it helps ...
would be glad 2 nswer nymore queries ....
am srry if it was rude ...
I hope al ur queries hv been nswered ...
just fire away nymore queries u hv !!!

Yes, there are buses that are available at 5 AM but y take the risk ...
al MBA exms are on sunday so u cn leave on strdy evng , sty thr 4 th nite , wake up fresh ,gv the exm and be bck by sunday evning !!!
Bangalore is a big place nd sometimes it so happens that the test centre is at a distance of 1-2 hours from the bus stand. nd th travel time is 3-4 hrs depending on wat time u enter bangalore ...
I wud say lvng at 5 am for a 10 am exam is not such a good idea !!!
Buses(all kinds) are available at regular intervals at any time of day and night.
The entry timings are 9.30 in th nite on weekdays and 11.00 on weekends ..
hope it helps :>

Yes, u r allwd to recv as well as send couriers . We have a seperate DISPATCH section which handles all the outgoin as well as incoming couriers ... you wl hv no problems getting ur admit cards here. The only so-called-problem is that v hv select courier services such as DTDC, BLUEDART and government SPEEDpost. U can send as well as receive couriers only from these services.
The address part consists of ur name, complete infosys mysore address and ur employee ID which is used to identify you. So, getting ur admit cards will not be a problem. :>
Well, Its a difficult situtation you have put urself in !!!
I would say that u go and meet the HR guy personally ...

The only thing that comes to my mind is calling them up or emailing them and ask for the status mentioning your reference number. Do clearly mention that you were unable to join then but would certainly like to join now ... Then wait for their reply ... Cn't think of nything else rite nw !!
If they stl wnt 2 offer u the job they would reply quickly else am srry but they wud have put a NO against ur name ...
Do that nd let me knw as to what do they reply !!!
Procedure cannot be revealed on public forum . PM me if you want to know it and i shall reply you in detail.
As Anchun bhai said, my posting after training was on 20 july, 2009 and hence bond date is 20 july, 2010. On the basis of higher studies , appropiate relaxation upto max of 1 month is given by company.
As far as i am concerned , my relieving date from company is 18 june , 2010 and i am not liable to pay any bond amount.
There is no need for bike because most of the DCs are in outer of the respective cities and infy bus is best option to go with .
Regards,
Varun
plz gimme ur pon number! i am in urgent need to leave the company in bond period its been 3 months in my postings

well, if u flunk ....u will be asked to leave.but the procedure would be different.

Do get back to me, in case u want any further clarifications.
well, if u flunk ....u will be asked to leave.but the procedure would be different.if u a non cs techie,if u fail to clear the basic course module,u will be asked to leave.
For a cs/it engg. u are allowed till the intermediate module.if u cgpa is below 4 @the end of the intermediate trainin(around 1 1/2 months),there is an exit policy there.
i dont think failing will hamper ur prospects in the IT sector, there are tons of companies out der still hiring.
To clear a module u get 2 chances.ie. only 1 retest is conducted,if u fail 2 clear dat..ur module is considered dead.
Do get back to me, in case u want any further clarifications.
Wat if a non-cs guy clears the basic module n maintains a good cgpa but fails in an advanced module at a later stage..will he be asked to leave if he cudnt clear it even the 2nd time??
hi thr
i wasnted to ask if at all i clear the training modules and am alloted a particular city is there ne chance that i can ask for a change in the city alloted to me??
mba_aspirant88 SaysWat if a non-cs guy clears the basic module n maintains a good cgpa but fails in an advanced module at a later stage..will he be asked to leave if he cudnt clear it even the 2nd time??
its not that if u fail once (even in the retest ) u will be asked to leave.if u have cleared the basic module,ur scores will be monitored till the end of intermediate training.a comprehensive test is then conducted.
if u fail in dat and the re-compri,and ur cgpa is less than 4.(which might not be the case if u have done well in oder modules)then u will be referred to the hr.
hope ur query is answered.do get back if further clarifications is needed.
