want to ask whether is there politics in even giving the doj......
coz i find that people from delhi region have got their doj poreponed and those in mumbai region have been postponed :shocked:.... one of my delhi friends has got his new doj in july ... earlier it was in oct.....
my doj was in july and nw the new doj is in sept-oct

no way buddy...ultimately both candidates from the different cities have to leave their home for joining Infy so it doesn't make sense:nono:......ya there can be politics in deciding which college should be preferred first, now if that college lies in delhi or karnataka it's clear luck..

Please send a mail to [email protected] with the request for extension with necessary information. they will accommodate u in any of the subsequent batches. You will receive an email with your new joining date and training location as soon as the batch plans are finalized by them. Please note that extension will not be given for personal reasons.


Guess the gap will be a max of 6 months

I have some doubts regarding the pay. I read in the offer letter that there are some training performance incentives. When do we get them and what is the maximum amount that we get? Also, how long is the training going to be this time? I'm from CS

I wish u convert ur XLRI wait list...
but yes,it would be definetely good to have a fall back option
u can request them for a extension and most probably it would be accepted(provided u give a good reason)
the next date of joining is not fixed and suppose u ask for 1 month extension,they will consider u for the batches that come after that time
some times it might be 2 months..some times 6 months

the training is 5 and half months for non-cs students and for CS folks it would be 20 days less....
TPI would be paid after the completion of training and themax amount that would be paid and other details would be there in the offer letter,refer them

Yes, they do ask for the scanned copy of the relevant documents as proof of reason mentioned . Only after that, you are given extension.

Yes, possible in case your course is of max 1 year. But, the condition is that you should have completed 2 years with company before this, only then you are eligible for this sabbatical.

I am afraid it won't help you but will give you a nice edge over others if you are willing to pursue a foreign MBA...

2. Do we hav to go to banglore for all mba exms??? How do we manage??
3. My traning will probably get over in december...and i'll cm to knw abt my DC thn only...thn hw do i choose the centre for fms and xlri???
4. And is it not possible to chnge the rooms among ourselves without telling authorities...i mean do thy come and check???

i've read the last 30 pages...nd didn't find answrs to these qs...so pls reply....

Regarding the NSR thing, what should I do fill for the employment details. That is, for the question "Are you presently employed?" should the answer be Yes or No?

1 sol:no surprise tests,every test schedule will be given well in advance..we generally do have tests on monday
2 sol:yes,for all exams we need to go to bangalore..but its not a big deal as it is just 3 hrs from mysore
(3)just trust on ur luck..but nowadays people are getting postings in their owm domicle..so take ur chances
(4)but if some thing goes wrong in ur alloted room,u need to pay up the charges and take complete responsibility or else they would be not be particularly checking

Since my doj is 22nd September...my training will extend to March 10th approx. I have the following questions:

1. Since bond signing is after Training, when will it be done in my case- immediately on 10th March or a time gap will be present?

2. Also i heard that final posting is done from the 1st of the next month.. i.e. 1st April in my case. So, will we be given a break from 10th March to 1st April?? (I'm asking because i want to know if i will be free in the month of March to attend all GD-PI in Mumbai of various MBA colleges.)

3. I've seen all previous posts about bond amount. It ranges from 0 - 2lac. And is variable depending on no. of months employed and (computer usage?). Does the amount increase or decrease with no. of months working with Infy? Like, is there a difference in bond amt if we leave after training, or after 1 month or after 4 months?

4. Is it necessary to underperform in training as hinted in earlier posts (I dont want to do that coz i may have to work in Infy for 2 years depending on my MBA results this year.) to avoid paying the bond amount? I mean, the bond is signed after Training, so do we even have to pay it if we leave after training period but before signing the Bond. Also, Will we be given a Work-Ex Certificate for the Training Period?

5. In the CAT form and other forms, which is the centre that infy people give? is Mysore present? Which was the closest center to Mysore according to last years centers list. (I know that there will be many in bangalore, but i want to know the specific institute name according to last years center list where seniors gave their CAT exam).

6. What about holidays during Training? Do we get an off if a public holiday is present on a weekday? Also is there a winter break given at the year end... (Pardon me for treating Infy training like a College :)...)

My date of joining infosys is 21st june 2010. What reason should i give for getting my joining of infosys postponed. It is mentioned in the offer letter that date of joining will not be extended for personal reasons.Please help me out.
