Yes you can bring them. On the first day,you have to declare them at the security and whenever you are taking them out of the campus, you have to show the declaration form.

No problem. 12th marksheet is enough. If you don't have anything as "passing certificate", don't worry.

No point carrying DVD's along, you will not be able to hook your IPOD up with any of the PC's here since external devices are not allowed to be connected.
The library does have leisure reading books....but mind you they are very limited......besides you won't find time for leisure reading anyway.....im a bookworm myself.....but i've only managed to read 200 odd pages of one book in the last 3 odd months.

Preference for DC is totally dependent on business requirements...you don't have a say in the matter......the only thing you can do is swap postings with someone from your group if he/she is willing

ive got placed in infosys through my campus in march 2010(bangalore)..ive recently finished my exams..these ppl had called me up in april , n told me that they'll send me my offer letter in 15 days but till now i havnt got it ...was wondering when will they send it ..we are in june now..getting a lil anxious n tensed ...
can anybdy pls tell me wat these ppl r upto..
tried calling them n mailing ..but none worked .. :|:-(:-(:-(

@maddy_89......Infy has given offer letter to every selected candidate as per their campusconnect internal website and it is confirmed......so if you have not got it then, one of the reason could be entering wrong email-id during recruitment which you might have provided........u from which college ?....if nothing working out, i think you should go to infy campus at bangalore or get some reference to hr.....

@deepaksns....ahh...valid question, someone answer it for me too..

I completed my training from infosys on July 13, 2010 and also got a call from IIM Lucknow. Now what am i suppose to do should I send in my resignation or shall i just don't care as they will come looking for me any ways.

Ideally u should go through the E-separation process...and talk to the HR.However if u r nt interested in gettiing the exp. letter anyways(since u already have taken admission in IIM-L)...u can just hand over ur ID card etc... to the concerned dept..and leave...they wont come searching 4 u..but ur PF money and all will be forefeited.

Is it necessary to have the passport with you when one comes to mysore or can we get it later and just communicate the file no. then at the date of joining? Asking this because I might not get the passport in time.

Not an issue.. you can get the passport later even. You just need to submit scanned copy of first and last page of passport and enter its detail in the link provided in intranet .. you will be given sufficient amount of time to do so.

NO PROBS if u dont have ur passport wen u go to mysore. jus d proof that u hav applied for passport is enuf.
however in d mail dey sent dey hav mentioned dat ppl widout a passport shud undergo criminal background check for which the costs shud be borne by u and dis check will be initiated on d date of joinin..

definetely PAN card is required....(once u are salaried it is mandatory)

yes, u can apply for it once u join here

there would be vendor coming here and get the process done

but i would advice better get all these formalities done before coming here,as u may not be having enough time here to spend on trivial matters like these
