I have this query about campus connect program of Infosys.
Our college has told us that Infosys has made it mandatory for all its 2010 recruits to undergo its campus connect program. For this our college has arranged for a 20-day schedule for those who hadn't attended campus connect in the past. So even though all my formalities in college are over I have to stay over and attend the classes. Add to that the fact that the syllabus is pretty basic for a CSE student like me.
I wish to ask other fresh recruits of Infosys whose colleges ran the campus connect program if their college has told them anything about the campus connect program being necessary. I have read on several places on the internet that it is not necessary.

Actually even I have the same doubt....in our clg we never had ne campus connect program and it is not scheduled either in the near future. Is it actually necessary to go through this process???
Plz help...'coz if this is the case then we have to ask the concerned authorities of our clg.

there are no direct buses but
buses are available from airport to majestic busstand of bangalore(i think i takes more than an hour )
from majestic bus stand , you have buses available every 15 mins to mysore..it takes another 3- 3.5 hrs
from mysore bus stand it would be another 40 mins journey to infy campus
around 10-12 km
autos take 100 rs from bus stand and 75-80 from mysore railway station

i had not undergone any medical checkups before coming here
but rules might have changd now(2 years is infact a long time
)but i don't think that would be a serious issue,if the tests to be done are prescibed ,get them done or else just come over here

generally the registration do happen on sunday only
they would be verifying the offer letter and then allows inside
by the time you reach mysore it would be around 1:30 -2 AM(1 hr+ journey from airport to bangalore bus stand and 3 hrs from there to mysore+30 min to0 mysore campus)
so i think it would be better if u take accomadation in bangalore for the night and start early on sunday(we hhave so many trains between ban and mysore and buses are very frequent)

Just to clarify a lot of things and lot of questions.
1) Laptops,PDs and CDs not allowed.
2) Reach one day before joining so that its easy for you all to get accomodated,Try not
to bring parents as they may not able to accompany u beyond a certain point."It not
a college".
3) Dont worry about NSR, you can do it within the Infy campus: GEC1:left wing.2nd floor.
4) Dont worry about e-joining if you are not able to do it before coming, they will ask
you to fill a small form.
5) Its better to have medical checkup done ,it hardly takes one day else you ca do in
Mysore itself. But its better to go prepared with everything.
6) Final year marksheets are not mandatory incase they are not out , you can take
provisionary certificate from college
7) The most important thing - Dont think that if you forget something they will not take
you,they will.

It was Rs.1750 per month when I joined 3 years ago. Heard it's now raised to 2000 odd now.
