As i said earlier, u can postpone ur joining date but the next joining date would not be in ur hands...it depends
mail ID of HR, i think in ur offer letter search,infy would have definetely provided a mail id for HR related queries

Studying for Entrance tests while maintaining good grades is well....impossible.....to be frank.
After an entire day of training you are left with absolutely no energy for ur entrance prep

Can you tell me if we can carry our music on dvds? so tht i can put songs in my ipod and stuff...
Also does the library have any fiction and leisure reading books?? Or is there any local library nearby which we can join??
I'm an avid reader and i can't live without reading...
Also after training do you get to choose your preference for the DC you want to go to??

No point carrying DVD's along, you will not be able to hook your IPOD up with any of the PC's here since external devices are not allowed to be connected.
The library does have leisure reading books....but mind you they are very limited......besides you won't find time for leisure reading anyway.....im a bookworm myself.....but i've only managed to read 200 odd pages of one book in the last 3 odd months.
Preference for DC is totally dependent on business requirements...you don't have a say in the matter......the only thing you can do is swap postings with someone from your group if he/she is willing

Officially training for the day ends at 5.30 pm.....most people sit till 7 or 8 pm though for their own studies

For relaxation you have tonnes of activities to do here like tennis,football,swimming,gymming,TT,badminton,pool,basketball and Movies in the multiplex on weekends too!

Yes bikes can be kept in certain areas inside the campus.
All rooms for boys are of the same type.....they just tell you to pick up a room key from the bunch that they have
Tests aren't exactly every monday....but yes, you do have nearly 1 test per week on average

u are in PG,implies u are interested in MBA
so make the best use of time in these 6 months and prepare well
if u want to do some courses which would be helpful for the training ,u can learn core java
have a look at rdbms and c language
if u wanna go technical in ur core field(electronics),i am not the right person to suggest
My DOJ at infosys is 21 June. If we reach on 20th would we provided accomodation at the mysore campus?

well taking leaves during the training is a subjective
definetely Infy would not be interested in sending u for the interviews

bond period is 1 year from the date of joining of unit
ie if u join for training in november2010 and completes it in april 2011 then ur bond period would be till april 2012

mon,tuesday-->full shirt with tie
wed,thursday-->half hand shirts
friday-->jeans,tee shirt(its ur wish),but sandals not allowed
during summer(mar-june)there is a tie relaxation rule

multiplex(8 movies all new)-->150 per month
food..as u eat u need to pay accordingly
