I understand your anxiety about the results. But they will come only by the end of March. So be patient. No matter when you gave your GD-PI, that's when the results will be out.

We have a near 100% placement for summer internship for the 2014 batch.

I GAVE MY GMAT YESTERDAY AND GOT A SCORE OF 690...WILL IT BE GOOD IF I UPLOAD MY GMAT SCORE NOW??I MEAN WHAT SHUD I DO..SHUD I STICK TO SCORE THAT I EARLIER UPLOADED i.e. 650 ....OR IF I UPLOAD NOW (690) ..WILL THE ADCOMS CONSIDER THIS??..IS IT TOO LATE TO UPLOAD THE NEW SCORE??

With due respect to your query, I think it's somewhat unfair to the CAT aspirants who can take CAT exam only once a year. GMAT one can take every month and hence can keep updating till the last moment. Perhaps, that's why they mention a date before which you should have taken GMAT. My POV only.

@dip17 my score last year was 97.88 yet i got call from IMT for its DCP prog.
this year too i have 98.5 but i got call from hyderabad and nagpur so dont really think that IMT people consider XAT

@lohitgupta : ur comments pls .. I have had my interview for IMT N/H/D .. but with XAT OA : 98.12(uploaded & copy submitted during interview) I am eligible for IMT G .. rt ? Please assure dat we the XAT score applicants are not loosing the chance for IMT G ...

I am a 2012 passout and I am way too busy for all this info. The numbers seem absolutely bloated. By this time in my year, there were 30 people or so left and most of them had CGPA of 5/10 or less or had some other discrepancy earlier in their career and stuff.

Don't go by rumours or whatever. Just do the best you can in life and focus on your own career. Dont be so young and stupid. If you are a good guy you will get good jobs. just dont slack in life.

There is nothing like "Best Placement for which Batch" - It absolutely depends on individual Interest and Merit. Companies from all over the spectrum in Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations give job offers in all categories - how you convince the company panel on Day Zero is completely upto you.

But it would incredibly stupid to just go by what people say - do you want to be a person who does an MBA in Marketing but loves Finance and then cries for 35 years of his life? Don't be so incredibly stupid.

i've a drop in the third year of my graduation and my overall engg record is 52%...will this stand in the way of me getting a decent placement even if I do decently in IMT? (considering i convert my call)...my interviewer for BIMTECH told me that it could be a problem...

yes it can be a problem anywhere in the top 15 b-schools of India since companies/recruiters that come come and want to see stellar profiles - ofcourse a a very amazing cgpa and other things can offset this but some companies have blank career cut-offs.

can't say about bimtech but it is definitely a problem to overcome in the top league older b-schools.

Let me be very honest with you.

If you passout of the right b school (the older 15 top ones),you just need to start your career and then you have the entire world's choice on a platter - If and Only If you decide to do the right things - along with alumni base and market perception, a good degree along with your hardwork will take you places in 35 years, but just dont try and become ordinary in life - no one wants to hire such people.

Sorry, to jump in. In practice, 60% score is what the companies look at usually. For bigger/better companies it shoots up to 75%.
Nothing to be scared now, get a convert and do your best. Grad scores are not the only elimination factors in play.

Depends on the company. Some would categorically mention 10/12/Grads and some have a generic criteria of 60% ( usual ) for all.
