Finally i hav also converted an iim call. Out of all my GD/PI expeiences this Indore was the worst and am really surprised with the result. Congratz to all others who have made it.

Congrats everyone...

Welcome to IIM Indore. All of you must be getting an official postal confirmation along with your fee schedule and other instruction in somedays. As far as i know your classes will begin from 1st july (for remedial people they might begin on 20 june types). Please post any doubts/queries/apprehensions/clarifications you may have in this place. One of us will clear them.

hi chandoo...

I remember u had to choose between Mdi n Indore.
1) why did u choose indore ?
2) After spending 1 year at I , did u ever hav the feeling that maybe I havent made the right choice ?

Iam in a similar position with admits from Indore as well as MDI.

I cud ve PMed u .. but thought many of the PGites cud be in a similar dilemma..

Other gyaanis , wat wud u guys suggest.
I hav one yr workex.

I have got through both K and I. Desparately need some insight as to which one to choose. Please help me out.

Please differentiate based on faculty, infrastructure, placements and any other relevant factors which you think is vital.

Interview calls ABCKI and MDI
Final calls: MDI and IIMI (For me IIMI >> MDI)
Waitlisted: IIMK

First of all congrats on IIM admit.

1. Because its an iim. On a more serious note, some of the reasons why i chose iimi over other calls i had are,
- iim brand is recognized all over. I get access to the vast network of managers working in myriad orgns who passed out from iims.
- iimi has acheived quite alot in the 6 years since its established. it looked more promising. by the time i pass out "i" will be really big.
- i had little work ex (13 months) and i want to interact with a batch having work ex since i believe that learning happens outside classroom more than inside classroom

2. not even for a single moment i felt that i made a bad decision. This place has been wonderful eversince i landed up here.

All of them are my views only. Hope that helps.

This year we have 2-3 people getting country manager/ex-pat positions in companies based in India. But no foreign placements as such. We had foreign placements for summers in 2004 batch. (3 of them went to NKF-Singapore and one went to some European country). As you can see, IIM I is a growing insti. Its just a matter of time before all biggies land up here to lap up you guys.

First of all Congrats on the admit(s).

1. You will get a letter sometime soon mandating the specifications of the comp. you are supposed to bring here. You can decide whether to go for lappy or not after that. just to lure you towards lappy we have a wi-fi enabled campus. so it might help you if you have a lappy.

2. you will get form(s) from SBI - Indore and may be from SBI. Your admission letter will mention the annual fee and other stuff. You just have to add pocket money to that to get the total expenditure here. Btw, you dont have to pay a single rupee for other services (like printer, canteen, xerox etc.) once you pay the fee (it should be near to 2.96 l for 2 years).

I never had the difficulty to choose between I and K. But some of my batchmates had that problem. Will ask them to post here.
