Section 3 RC & Verbal Ability 50 2/5
Section 4 General Knowledge 50 2/5
Note: The order of the sections were different for different sets of paper.

Ashish
hi gautam, i would like to know whether there is any sectional cut off in iift or not
As of now there is no info on the exam pattern of IIFT.
But the info is expected in another 10 days time.
Gk should not be a worrying aspect as it hold s avery little weightage in the final score. But you must update urself with lattest in world business. Use FE, ET, BW etc.
Its useful you know why you want International business. MBA(IB) is more rigourous than MBA. You must be lil well equiped with good business gyan. At least 100 ppl in my batch do ( I am number 101)
Do not prepare in particular for IIFT. Our test is on same lines as other papers but yes pattern is slightly different which shouldnt bother a prospective candidate.
Best of luck for your preprations,
GAUTAM

hey guys......
URGENT ADVISE REQUIRED.......
i know everyone wud be busy with their new year plans....but guys some serious things need to be taken care off.......
can anyone from IIFT or others who are writin this test give me their opinion on the following....
1 how many questions do we need to attempt....considering u get 20 odd wrong....if u ppl can tell me how many questions per section tht wud be gr8..
2 how much time shud v give to each section.....for me my strength is qant...eng is decent .....gk is bad...
3 and also bcos of the variable marking scheme it makes sense to give more time to math....
4 what are the cutoffs... are there any sectional cut offs....if yes wht were the last yrs cut offs overall and sectional.....
5 is it fine if we dont solve GK at all or solve very few questions in GK.... and compensate for the same in other sections.....
guys if anyone experienced enough can give me answers to the above questions i ll be very thankful to him/her.....as 4 days to go and CAT was not gr8.....hopin tht someone will reply today itself...
thanks in advance......
take care and ATB.....
