any idea abt no of seats in iift for non - delhi students ..heard the no is abt 25...pls confirm ,also any clue abt how many calls thay give and calls to seat ratio???

Hi!
There are no delhi , non delhi seats in IIFT!
Its all India open
No reservation too. Only relaxation for reserved catregory in marks, no fixed seats.
So please dont spread the rumour that there are any seats for delhi ppl.
Only 10 odd ppl in a batch of 100 are from delhi. rest are from all over the country!
HYDRABAD has about 10 ppl and alcutta nearly 8-10.
So refrain from posting things like these without even going through the prospectus.
40% ppl nearly have work ex. 6 of them from infy alone.
No institute bar GIM, XIMB and NMIMS have reservations for locals.
And these I fear are not in the same league as IIM's, XLRI, FMS, MDI, IIFT, SPJ, JBIMS, IITB. So plz do not have these doubts. And yes nbot even FMS has any prefrence for delhi grads. Refrain from posting and even believing such claims by anyone.

Last year for a max of 120 seats they gave 520 odd calls.
That was inclusive of all categories.
IIFT releses a initial list of 120 only. For those not joining in 1 list is relesed as waitlist which clears, based on experience till about 80 more. Finally 2 more ppl joined in last year right on the last day. They cleared up close to 210-220 ranks after GD/PI. So the ratio of those getting selected is 2/5.

hey iiftians,
If u can clarify whether u receive just the call letter fr gd/pi or anything else like ur rank or percentile. So any clarifiaction on tat wud eb helpful. And also another question on how difficult the exam is and wat abt the gk, how tuf is it? So in short wat shd be preparation methodology. And u guys already being in iift can tell how much u shd get out of those 100 marks to get a call. also how much did u guys get?? any fair idea

I guess it must be St. Joseph's Indian Boys High School? 'Cos it was the same last yr... gosh, we were made to sit in desks meant for kiddoz - barely fitting in there somehow... needless to say, carry a writing pad - desks were in bad shape then... my room was a shabby, dirty, dusty n musty BAND ROOM!!!

Nithin, if its the one I mentioned above, its near Kanteerava Stadium on the Vitthal Mallya Road... n if its the other one (St. Joseph's Boys' High School), its on the road parallel to MG Road (forgot the name), near the post office...
