Hi Sumit,

Thanks for giving imp info abt IIFT. I gave the exam last year but cudn't get thru but this year I really want to get in. I know that they give more weightage to quant and DI but tell me what topics are imp in IIFT and are they of different pattern than CAT. I am good at VA/RC,average in DI / DS and good at logic based problems but quant is one section where I get really scared. So wanted to know if there are few topic on which I can put more stress or any other way. I m a student at TIME but till now they have not given any material or mock paper for IIFT.

Tell me how to go abt quant.What shud be the stratergy I shud follow now?

I feel Quant at IIFT is cool type a mix of both calculations and simple logic if you dont get mix of two right u r gonna mess up the paper

Hello preeti and all,

one good way to get hold of similar papers is to go to places like JNU and north campus where some book shops sell sample papers

other way is to get help from ur buddies preparing from other coaching instis and get photocopies of their papers

thirs try to look in for the paper in various magazines like advancedge, mgmt compass, career economy and that stuff

BUT at end of day don't make up your mind abt a particular pattern of paper else someone might give you a paper like this yrs CAT and shoot ur advantage of PRACTICING PAPERS
The same thing happened in last years reCAT, IIFT n XL where the level of difficulty and all the stuff was very much changed.
about the GK the same old advice goes on about reading various magazines of past 3 months brushing up ur GK a bit ( just like glancing once thru ur history, geo and sci books)

As there is no sectional cutoff (trend applicable till at least last year) so u can take a shot at ur strength areas first nn then go for rest

I also havent receive the iift admit card but got jmet admit card only 2 weeks prior to test so no need to panic i guess with more than 3 weeks to go fr the test.

hey guys with less than 30 days to go for IIFT and ppl like me who r reallyy looking forward for this exam, i think we need to start discussing about the paper more....... stuff like wht strategy to adopt........how much time to allot per section......and wht actually to study in this last few days....experienced guys can chip with their comments.........really need to figure out wht strategy to adopt........

hey sanchayan even i havent recieved my admit card as yet. i think it will take some more time. most of the ppl in del have got theirs. i guess we bangaloreans should recieve in another 2 weeks time..

ofcourse knowing the indian postal system it shd take atleast a week to reach us in chennai and bangalore. No need to panic, we have other things to concentrate as well.
