INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
First of all sorry for the late post puys.
Had my interview on 6th.
Venue: canara bank,circle office,trivandrum
Panel no:1
Reporting time : 8.30 am
Reached the venue on time and candidates were asked to get into the conference hall.every candidate were dressed in formals with shoe, tie and all and i was the only one with jeans and shirt with sleeves rolled up 😃 ( just trying to be different from rest in some way)
Verification process was tough and couple of guys without noc and passed after 1/7/13 were sent home
My interview started around 1.50pm and lasted around 15 minutes.

4.what was i doing after graduation
5.which.all.exams i've.passed - i said.rrb po,clerk3 and civil 13 preliminary

Thats it interview was over they said good luck and to take a chocolate.
Interview panel constited the agm of canera bank and a guy from ibps and two others.
I was totaly surprised because i was not asked any questions on banking awareness.

- All the 8-10 guys who went before me came our all sweaty and nervous. So I guess that the interviews were actually more of stress interviews than anything else. Keeping your calm is essential.

Everyone was very friendly. After we entered the office were were separated into line and were sent in after filling a register. I was standing in the 5th line and was unable to stand for so long since I have been recovering from a bad fever. So I ran to ask for some water. I was sent in early after registering.
The interview happened at around 11. I was within the first 10 people from my panel.
Make sure you have your certificates are right, one person was doing a lot of kich kich for some certificates.
I heard that panel I waalon ki band baji. All people from panel I came out with a blank face.
People in panel II were very very nice. There were 4 gentlemen as usual.
M1 - a pretty shaant sirji. He smiled mildly when he asked me questions.
M2 - Kind of serious, but a cool person
M3 - Nice. Not too serious not too chilled out
M4 - Super cheerful person. He just made my day. He was smiling throughout and was very nice.
They made everyone very comfortable. The questions to everyone had a similar pattern. A few personal questions, career related, subject related and just 3 to 4 banking related questions.

2) Ok so you grew up in this place and went to college in this place. What are you doing in Kolkata.
3) A few questions on work profile of my dad and brother
4) Why banking
5) what are functions of a bank
6) what is core banking. Selective core banking (I didn't know selective core banking)

9) what is the maximum years for FDs. I didn't know. M1 wasn't upset. Just smiled sweetly
9) Ok so every one is hard working and sincere and everyone wants a secured job. Why should we select you.
I answered things that came into my mind. They seemed impressed.
10) So how will you convince people in villages to get banking services.
They were again impressed
11) There are many different types of works in a bank like customer relation, marketing etc., what do you think is the toughest part.
They seemed to be impressed again.
M4 - Ok you seem to be a very open minded person, and since you have lived across India you would be comfortable in all places. You are a smart person, you'll have a good future and will do really well.
