So I was 17th in the row and had a lot of time to gossip vd people around. Almost everybody was from Bikaner (my hometown) bcz it was arranged in order of Roll no.s .
Document verification people were real friendly + helpful. They looked and asked me about tattoo on my fingers (BFAB) if its permanent. I said, "yes, hope it wont be problematic." He smiled and replied, "No that's truly personal, we are not army."
After hours of chit chat with panel-mates, 3 of us were made to sit near interview room. I asked two gals who went be4 me abt wat they were asked. Guess what. Both were asked about family, brothers, frnds' strength weakness (apni hi nahi pata hoti logo ko 😛 ) . Anyway, my turn
4 gentlemen ..... I mean real gentlemen !! One was out for first few minutes.
M3: U have cleared this CFA Level 1. Whats this ??
Me: Answered. Its this-this from this-this institute on a global level.
M3: Do we have any CFA in India ?
Me: answered, yes we have but companies aint accept it. n blah blah abt litigations going on.
After this it was all about stcok market discussion for next 15 minutes like
what is demat account ? 😃
what are depositories ? 😃
which depositories operates in India ? 😃
Differences between KYC documents of a Bank Account and A Demat Account ? 😃
Can I get shares in physical form now ?? 😃
What are various financial products available for a retail investor ? 😃

after all the doc verifications, we were made to sit in the waiting room where, at about 9.15am the attendent came and escorted me to the interview room. I waited there for 15 min or so, and then I was called inside-
M1-So, Mr. Tripathi, welcome, u know, there used to be a time when tripathis and all used to be very learned people.
Me-Sir, still they are learned.
On this, he starts asking me something related to Gayatri mantra(i knew i was dead meat now)
M1-Can u recite the mantra?
I did it.
M1-Very good, thats good that atleast people even today can recite the mantras. Ok, can you translate it?

Me-No sir, but i can tell u the essence.
I had no idea where this interview was going. 
M1-So, u are a technical guy(b.tech), why do u want to join a bank and that too a public sector bank where no work is done properly, no body gives a damn to any customer's urgency, no body is held responsible, and still u want to join, why?
Now this was a real fadoo question 😠
because, I had prepared for "why banking" and not this realtime question full of facts.
Anyway, i said some good points about public sector banks and made them up. blah blah blah...
M1-Okay tell me diff b/w hear and listen, and tell the significance of listening in a conversation.
Told them, a normal answer.
"Then finally, the only lady in the panel asked me a technical question."
Lady-what is deposit mobilization, and how can it be achieved ?
Me-Told them the answer to it and it seemed they were quite convinced.
And this was the end, they said, ok, thankyou. U may leave now.

Moral-Nothing to worry about their behaviour, as they all first make the person comfortable with their warm nature and then they proceed with the interview.

3 people rejected on basis of date of passing, 2 absentees.
Document verification easy. Only concerned about date of passing and OBC certificates.
Panel was not neither too rude, nor freindly, they were TO THE POINT while asking questions and while expecting answers. I was last in the morning batch(26th Serial no.) My interview started at around 1:30.Asked many questions including background, education, most of which we know the answers and two banking terms.
The banking questions asked to me were 1) What is role of Rural banking 2) What is KYC 3) what is stalecheque (I replied that a cheque whose date is written but validity expired is a stalecheque, but did not mention that over a period of 3 months how dumb of me 😠😠😠) rest were personal and family background questions. 4) what is leadership and team spirit how can they be used in banking environment? 5) what is todays headlines and which newspaper? do u support attack on AAP office? why did they claim they ransacked AAP office?
one person who wasn't asking questions asked only this one question " So u mean prashant bhushan's statement is wrong, but such attacks cannot be justified right?"
