all this confirms onething, gd/pi's are more of formality, the most important is the xat score, it willl be the deciding factor. the interviewers were looking to complete the process as soon as possible

if what you say is true, i am in!!! 😃 but i wud still prefer to wait for the final calls before celebrations... 😃 :)

I spoke to the admission people today at GIM.The Admission office says that the results will mostly be out in first week of April

I came to know that GIM isd a big no for the ppl who r going for Fiannace as the top most recruiter there is HDFC, and GIM is basically known for their marketting reserch.

I am a bit confused about the selection procedure....so many estimations from you people....Some says XAT score ..some says PI... GD PI procedure in Delhi was really surprising ....I had one very good tech interview in which i was asked questions on computer networks(I am a computer engineer), computer organization etc which was quite a comfort for me . That lasts for 15 minutes...other was a bouncer to me firstly he asked DBMS which was okay and then suddenly....... balance sheet...points by which bombay stock exchange goes down last week......and deferred liabilities ..accounts I was shocked I have XAT percentile 0f 90.12 with good acads in 10 +2 and B.E... But the last pi i think is going to diminsh my chances....gary bhai what you think?

Well in my technical gd.in the end he asked which calls.i said Fore,SIIB,SCIT
he then said then SCIT is good for u ,noted something and shaked hands with a smile???
My interview went excellent.
I am CSE Engineer........was he just trying to put me in stress or he was serious????

When I asked mr. saravanan at mumbai the same question, he said they called around 700 ppl for gd/pi...didnt mention the break up of weightages for xat-gd-pi though.....

Well i am sure Gary posted on the thread that 1000 people are called this time and not 700 as posted by few here.Since even 80 percentilers have got call ,so we can imagine that 1000 must have called(even though date was not extended).

Secondly as regards joining is concerned,everyone give exam to join the institute(whatever one says GIm is backup and all)...so tough competition mate.

had my gd pi on 13th...YMCA..delhi

12 people out of 17-18 turned up..so the batch was divided into 2.....2 separate GDs...1 topic was"saffron" n the other was "INDIA CAN NAVER B SECULAR COUNTRY"..

then 2 PIs...
oone was general..
other was acads based...

Hi ,

The total number of people that were called were 1000 .This is what the Admissions office told me. I do not have a clue as to how many actually turned up .

Leo , I have no clue as to how ur GD/PI went so i cant comment though you have a good percentile considering the range of percentiles this year.

this date for the release of the results seems to be perpetually moving in to the future at a speed more than what we aspirants can achieve...hope they release it at least by the first week of April...

the process over everywhere by now??? then why would they take so long?

n e way fabulist or spiderman please clarify our doubts regarding finance(spec) at GIM...there was a post that meant it ain't that great...care to give us an insider's take on it?

There are lot of Computer engineers i think who gave gd/pi.....because of mushrooming of engineering colleges all across india ....so competiton there is tough also...........and engineering is just one of parameters.....it can enhace ur claim for Gim......wont make it 100% sure.............................
