oh, guess u din know that HDFC Bank does it in 7 working days.. And yes, they deliver it to ur postal add or at any branch solely on ur instructions.
If u are talking abt the current Banks in Panjim and arn with the likes of HDFC, then for the past 18 months they have discontinued any branch cash withdrawls even on bearer slips.(Read Savings bank account). Now allowed only on home branch(es). Nw don ask me why???
BTW, isn it foolish on the part of to be managers to dump ATM cards for human tellers, the exception being the Corp Bank on Campus...

2. HDFC might have had a policy change with regards to branch cash withdrawals, maybe due to some operational reasons or some banking guidelines. I dont bank with HDFC, so I am not the right person to comment on this.

Well without getting into subjective details, I will provide a list of items i deem to be necessary when u arrive in Goa. The list is a product of unmoderated, bored and tired brain storming but it will answer ur query in all possible entirety. So here goes:
1. Protective gear to protect you from rains. It can be an umbrella (Ankan Dabral style) or a raincoat. It rains very heavily here and you might need to venture out either for fun or work.

A query i was expecting long before. To be true GIM sends around 200 First List Calls and 50 Second List Calls. It happens so that by experience admissions office knows that some percentage of ppl from 1st list will opt out. And this policy is nt something new to B Schools in India. Even the IIMs follow the same. Once the final first list is pulled out after receiving the first instalment then the second list ppl are looked at, in the sense given admissions based on rankings.
being a management student , can u just tell if u have 5 things to sell in your stock can u sell 10 . then why we were not told earlier that they have called 200 students initially , when i called up for the first time i was told we have called 120 students in Ist list and 50 in IInd list . after 7-8 days there whole process changed . then why was the need for calling 25 k from other 50 students ? then they were never ready to disclose our waiting list no ...even u can personally ask jenny i called her many times and even once talked to admm coordinator he told me we haven't made that list , and we will tell u later , so sir do iim's also follow the same policy ? moreover no insti in the country call for that much high proportion of students over there limited number of seats.

I JUST WANTED TO TELL US THROUGH THIS POST THERE SHOULD BE SOME REGULATORY AUTHORITY TO CHECK THESE THINGS IN FUTURE .
kamal -> first of all i will answer ur first specific query. Yes you can sell something that you don't have. Being a management student i know what it is called - shorting or shortselling.
second, there's nothing to be defended here. We are not here to cover up for the institute. We are here to try and ensure an existent synergy between the two batches when the PGP1's arrive.
Third, there's nothing to cover up. It is an institute policy to give more than 120 calls and it is not open to question by students - existing or probable. Moreover this is not a piece of information that is printed in a charter and given to one when he/she joins. This is a piece of info that needs digging. And digging it was, that yielded the result that the institute follows a policy of giving more than 120 calls because there's a very rare probability that all the calls given out will be accepted. Average call acceptance across institutes of this level would be as less as 40% to as high as 75%. Well there's an economic incentive behind following this kinda policy but it needs a kinda long explanation. I can pm it to you sometime later.
Please don't feel it is a deliberate policy of ours to provide different info in different posts. Every piece of information that we post here is something that we know or believe to be true.
