Bhai , It was great to say the least ... but ozha sahib was much more busy with Zuari industries ki bhalai .. that he couldnt find time .. prashant patel was real fun to be with ... same with viper, vikram anil and ankan... couldnt get to see his umbrella though

being a management student , can u just tell if u have 5 things to sell in your stock can u sell 10 . then why we were not told earlier that they have called 200 students initially , when i called up for the first time i was told we have called 120 students in Ist list and 50 in IInd list . after 7-8 days there whole process changed . then why was the need for calling 25 k from other 50 students ? then they were never ready to disclose our waiting list no ...even u can personally ask jenny i called her many times and even once talked to admm coordinator he told me we haven't made that list , and we will tell u later , so sir do iim's also follow the same policy ? moreover no insti in the country call for that much high proportion of students over there limited number of seats. SIR, I REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE DONT TAKE IT PERSONALLY , I REALLY RESPECT YOU A LOT , INDEED YOU HAVE PROVIDED A LOT OF HELP TO ALL OF US . I KNOW IT IS ALSO YOU PROFFESSIONAL DUTY TO COVER UP YOUR INSTITUTE . BUT SIR , TRUTH IS TRUTH .

I must thank patel that he handled it so well, for me i cud have thrown a beamer. Just to add, one can sell something which he doesn possess. Talking abt that in legal terms "AGREEMENT TO SELL" , not there at the time of agreement, but does exist on the date as agreed. To simplify, trust me on 23rd of June when the Batch of 2006-08 joins, all the ppl who were put in first list and have paid will get a seat. If nt, one gets the right to blabber abt the system otherwise they simply do not.

And no one was forced to pay up to remain on the second list. That was an option excercised by you. rite... Nice that u have got SITM. Happy time.

If u are taking IIM as a benchmark, then yes even they overshot the calls. A simple Yield management theory and trust me all the airlines and trains do overbook. Right they do. Simple.

To answer ur no institution does that, i won name but a school of our family calls 250% of the seats it has. Do PM me and i will give ya the name.

Rest i cant change individual opinion and don wish to. Lets be happy in our own kitties...

I JUST WANTED TO TELL US THROUGH THIS POST THERE SHOULD BE SOME REGULATORY AUTHORITY TO CHECK THESE THINGS IN FUTURE .

The day a rule comes, when given a call one has to accept it, the same will also come. Otherwise when we as a student community can play with B schools then why cant they keep a cover. they obviously need to. Really don wanna say anything more. But i promise, if u still aren happy do PM me. And i will reply.

help??? - after 20 odd pages of discussion abt the institute by us and the people like aspire who have visited the campus i think ur decision should have been taken...dil se (goa, location, atmosphere) kahun ya dimaag se (infra, placements, industry interaction, faculty) advice change nahi hogi...

Will be reaching Goa on the 16th of June with some friends. Pease advise some budget hotels/hostels close to Panaji, want to make the reservations in advance so we have a place to go...........when we reach.

See u guys soon..................have been missing all the action because i have been travelling all this while.

welcome to GIM and Goa! budget hotels - u will find a lot of them in Panjim - Mayfair, Aroma (crazy name), Miramar Residency, Panjim Residency (Residency = sarkaari - GTDC). You will be able to get a decent and comprehensive list on one of the following websites:

www.amchogoa.com, www.indiaresortssurvey.com, www.outlooktraveller.com etc.

just search for Goa hotels.

If you wanna stay near to the college then Hotel Seema is a stone's throw away from the institute and has decent rooms for around 500-600. There's one farther down the road - Joi De Goa. It is better in terms of rooms but costs 900.

Just call up the admissions office and talk to jenniffer mam..and ask for ur waitlist rank..then we will be able to tell u wat are ur chances...
