Regarding how is GIM I think that is ones own perception .. I can give u guys what I felt abt the place . Frankly speaking I was disappointed .. as the motorcycle taxi ( ya here in goa , we have motorcycle taxis ) dropped me in front of the main gig gate of GIM . That had an uncanny resemblance to The grandiose gates of our very own Tihar . Jokes apart that gate was locked and seriously I was disappointed to say the least. I asked someone , as to how to get in .. he directed me to the main gate of GIM .. and this is where my views of GIM changed . Do u guys remember the beautiful pic that we had on the placement report the lush green view Thats what hits u when u reach GIM even in this scorching heat GIM had greenery all around .,,, U get very gud vibes when u get here . I just loved that 1 km ride on the stretch of road that joins panaji bus stand and ribandar with the mandovi flowing next to the road .. it was a great experience to say the least .. In the morning yesterday before coming to GIM , I had gone straight to the bank .. Andhra bank .. there the lady . Ranjini madam .. was very helpful , even the bank manager was very helpful . Guys have all ur worries at bay getting a loan for studying at GIM is as easy as it can possibly ever get U only need a few documents from the college that , u will receive in a few days . Apart from your own documents .. like attested copies of every year of ur college .and ur tenth and twelth marksheets also Pls note attested marksheets of each year of your graduation. The lady at the bank gave me the form to open the savings account which needs to be signed and stamped by steves ..who is the administrator here as he was away with the director for an overnite meet couldnt get the work done The bank requires a statement of expense which is prepared by the college which also includes the cost of the laptop. Now herein lies the problem the college will not give the statement of expense as of now .. as there have been instances where the students have taken the loan , deposited the first installment .. then forfeited the seat as well as the 30,000 rs .. and then the bank was after GIM The thing is the approximate expense would be around 4 the bank says that we need to make a payment of approx 10% of the loan in banking parlance this is called as the margin money So that should amount to around 40000, of which 30,000 we have paid now we need to pay around 10k more from our pockets.Now whether this will be refundable to us or not I am not that sure . Will confirm today .. but I have my doubts as I had taken my bike on loan .and the bank had paid 90% of the loan the remaining was to be paid by me Nehow will get that confirmed Right now I am in sachinisgods room as steves has told me to wait for some time .. till he discusses what needs to be done Goa is really hot at the moment really humid tshirts are what are required here .. and floaters Regarding the hostels I could only see the rooms at lh that too of the ground floors . Its a 2 seater room ..with almirahs and cots and a study table being provided .. by the insti also the internet connection in every room . Went to the morgue yesterday no1 was there so couldnt go inside .ditto with hilltop and o.t Life at GIM , is great and I have every reason to believe that theres a juice shop {kal} just next to lh where all the juices are priced below 15 to regarding khana peena no tensions.. Also went to the computer lab .and the library yesterday Guys me tired as of now else would have gone on for miles

Anyone who has talked to andhrabank at goa for loan I need to clarify my doubts
Damn .... i also missed the Mumbai meet ... really wanted to meet up wid seniors n batchmates .... was working till 4 in the mornin tday and woke up really late .... well im tryin to hide my disappointment by sayin thers always a nxt time ...
The nearest (read the only airport) for GIM is Dabolim International Airport also known as Goa Airport, the Air Traffic code is GOI. Its 34 kms from GIM. The only way as i see to reach there from Himachal is by taking an erstwhile Air Sahara or Spice Jet which flies 7 dys a week to Goa from Delhi. Then u also have the option of taking Kingfisher which hopes thru Mumbai. Otherwise Jet offers a through flight via Mumbai and has 5 flights a day between BOM and GOI.
I guess tat shud be enuff for u to plan the journey. Bon Voyage..

Ankan Dabral: There is major renovation work going on in the campus. I do not think that we shall be able to do so in a financial troubles... And as for recognition, it is to be renewed every few years. We are well compliant with the requirements. It is a routine thing. All colleges have to go through it. That is how the quality is ensured in all colleges. They test for faculty, infrastructure, student perception, library facilities and the such. We are doing well in that. I suggest that people had better get all the information before going public. I hope this guy is not coming to our college. Put this reply on Pagal Guy for the mental peace of all to see.
