After months of being a "dormant member" of this thread I'm finally posting to tell u guys that I wud also be part of GIM Batch of 2006-2008 . Have a call from KJ but finally decided to join GIM

I still cant believe that I wud finally be joining an mba programme this year - 3rd attempt at mba admissions considerin job was not allowing me to dedicate my self to preparations . Infact I still remember speakin to srini when he was on the verge of joinin GIM last year and I was completely lost in my job and he jokingly telling me come to GIM nxt yr ..and he wud rag me being a senior !!! AND THAT'S COME TRUE .WELL hope not the ragging part J
So GOA here I come - reminds of the 3 Bs - Booze, babes n beaches J . OH NOT TO FORGET BIKES .. although dnt knw to ride but do hope to get a hang of it in the nxt 2 yrs . Come on yaar kuch toh seekhna hai na !!!

SIIB is decent institue ... but u must remember its not the flagship institue of symbi .... its SIBM , SCMHRD and SIIB comes in only afetr these 2 .... so whenever companies wud think of recruitin from symbi colleges they wud first approach SIBM and SCMHRD b4 SIIB . ...... Join SIIB in case u want to do something in Intl Bus. ..... else its destination Goa for u !!!!

Is there anyway i could corespond(email) with these people listed above. I wanted to get an idea regarding what their functional roles would be. I know it is a little premature as i am just joining, but it would interesting to know what specializations one needs to get a specific job, since i am interested in consultancy.
Will be getting my bike to Goa, so guys include me in the midnight drives too. Just wish there was away you could attach speakers on a bike for the music aspect.

BTW am in Mumbai and my summers is startin only on 1st may. We can meet if u want, Vinay (MICA) is also here. My number is still the same.

I agree with Srini. You can ask the PGP2s, but we won't encourage you to disturb the alumni. They are holding high positions and busy ppl.

Knowledge - u need to introspect y u r so desperate to get into gim only ..... cuz u have not nentioned the colleges that u currently hold offer letters of and plus have no idea of ur profile cannot really and whther ur really despearte to do ur mba this yr i cannot really comment on wat u shud do ..... but best bet wud be to take up the best bschool from among the ones in ur kitty rite now and the keep ur fingers crossed as regards the gim waitlist
Remember a college or an mba prograame is only as gud as u want it to be . u and only u can make or break ur own future and a college only acts as a catalyst

We got the config for arnd 44K including preloaded Win XP on the IBM machines & MS Office 2003(including MS One Note).
Not sure if ppl still remember me. In any case, My heartiest Congs to all those who made it. Am reaching Mumbai today evening for my summers at VSNL and am put up in Andheri there. My number is the same and as srini has mentioned before, we can have a meet. hey srini call me after 6 30 pm today.

And about the lappie, guys its up to you to buy one on you own with a config of your choice or anyways as the college gets you lappies, you can always collectively decide upon the configuration you want. We have got IBMs but you can collectively ask for any make. I would suggest wait and watch, dont hurry n buy a lappie.
