The school leaving certificate means the TC right , I dont remember having it , will have to go to my school :( Talked to the prini of my coll he told me that...I have to come to the coll to collect the form and deposit it at the univeristy :(
Will gim give us some time incase there is any delay

It will be preferable to get all your doc as requested in the letter when you reach GIM.
Although the PGP Office did give us time to get the required docs ( in some exceptional cases deadline was extended till start of 2nd Trisemester ), but it is advised to arrange for them and bring them along on 23rd June itself. Esp given the fact in many instances, it took considerable amount to time to get the TC & othr such docs ready.
So get your docs in order & those who have to arrange for them from authorities, start the processes immediately.
And yes, getting a bike is always better. It will be an asset for sure.

Please bring your bikes. yes it is allowed. There is place to park. And you will require the bikes as soon as classes start so please dont wait for the term break to bring them. Bring the bike along with you when you come to campus. This is because you will be doing lots of projects in the industrial estates and will have to travel around goa for the same. Also everything you will need is in panjim which is about 4-5 kms from campus, you will need to commute. And there will be lot of late night outings for many things you will see when you come to campus about those. So a bike is a definite must, if you have one bring it along with you when you come to campus.

Junta,you can bring along your cars & bikes. But no trucks. :)
No, there is no need to change your car's registration number although if you want, you can do the same by paying nominal charges.

depends. If you are buying a brand new bike then the difference wont be much, but i dont know if its cheaper. If you are buying a second hand bike then bikes like Royal Enfields, Yamaha RX100 / 125 etc cost much more than a second hand bike back home. If you are looking for a second splendor or some such bike or a scooterette then i think you should be able to find a good buy.
And as for bringing cars. like Girish has already posted yes you can bring cars there is no issues with that there is a lot of parking place available and it would be of a lot of use.
As for re-registering your bikes. I have not re-registered my bike, its required by law. but the cops dont mind. It would be a problem only if you meet with an accident or if you are caught for something you did like drunken driving or rash driving etc.

You will need all the documents listed on the day your college starts.
As for choosing your roomies. Its not that simple. there are some rules to that laid by the college. First and foremost your batch will be divided into two sections A and B. Roomies will have to be from the same section. Second rule roomies cannot be from the same educational background i.e. two engineers cannot stay together, a bE and a Bsc can stay together etc. educational background stops with Bsc or BE etc. which means Bsc math and Bsc Physics is the same similarly BE Mech and BE Elec would also be considered as the same. But as the rooms get filled the second rule may be relaxed, it would depend on the warden. When they start the room allocation, you will be given a list of students from your section and also a sheet of paper which shows you which rooms are available for the PGP1s, you can now find a roomie and then go around the hostels, you will find that the rooms already taken by the PGP2s will be locked and those which are available for the PGP1s will be open, you can checkout the rooms and give three rooms in your order of preference and you will be alloted the room then and there and you can sign take the keys from Tony and shift in.

tata indica is cool man. kab jaanewala hai bata dena, will hitch a free ride with u all the way to gim, kharcha bach jaega . neways me gonna bring along my baby (bike) too. had noticed many bikes at the institute when me and peace were down there for the interviews. there are buses from gim to panjim, etc but these stop at around 8 in the evening so that its vey difficult to go any place after that time if u don't have ur own vehicle. so bike is a must cos the day begins after sunset, wot say puys ??

yeah... I think so too..we will get many more partners.. It will be tooooo cool... But just we hav to take care of those Policewalas who will be stopping us... (some 10 rs notes will do...) Cant wait to be in GOA...(i hav said that umpteen times...) .. Yeah the PG grp is increasing in leaps n bounces in GIM.. we may hav a biggest representation among any college..

No brother.. apna anil aka maverick has this year got an admit in XIMB...so anil from GIM and Anil mod are two different ppl.. btw..never loose hope..atb for BIM... GIM is my first convert after six rejects.. so key is dont loose hope...
