hey man , dat makes it 30 Puys @ GIM this year , dats 1/4th of the batch ... amazing , i dnt think any other Bschool has this kind of representation of Pguys ....
But just we hav to take care of those Policewalas who will be stopping us...
(some 10 rs notes will do...)
hi rahul,
i don't think we gotta worry about the policewalas. wwhen we were at gim and saurav was telling us about the privileges of gim students one thing he said was that if a policeman catches you in goa and you flash out your gim i.d. then he lets you off
cheers

Please guys dont have such false hopes. A GIM id will not get you through if you have commited an offence against the law. But you are just stopped at a check post as a routine check for your papers then yes if one of the papers you show the cops is your GIM id then yeah you will be allowed to pass without having to give a bribe. But again dont have false hopes that your GIM Id will get you through a trouble. So please dont step on the wrong side of the law.

Indeed the GIM ID card does help in many a situations, but there is no guarantee of you escaping in case of caught venturing on the other side of the law.
Raj knows it better since he can boast of having clocked the max time spent behind the wheel of a Bike, since we have arrived at GIM.

Its only last year that we tried reaching out to our alumni, the result was the huge improvement in placements. This year the alumni committee is working really hard to gather information regarding alumni and reach out to many more of them.

hey voodoo,
gr8 job man....
the short list actually can be considered as a sample from which it can be made out that around 50% fall under sales and mktg kinda profile, 35% under finance, and balance under HR, Oprtns etc combined....
though, it can never be a very accurate and concrete extrapolation, but it just validates the break-up as far as specialisations r concerned....
correct me if i m wrong.....
smiles,
Tapan.

Usually student at GIM prefer to major in marketing, finance and systems. HR comes next and operations comes last with very few students. This just happens to be the preference of the students, be assured that the faculty in all disciplines are excellent have no worries about that.
