i think 2day's world only want work ex guys n gals...i had got calls from NMIMS,XIMB,GIM,ICFAI HYD....no final calls...
First,all prefer BE n BTech and then WORK EX comes into picture...
So my kind advice 2 all freshers...either get a engg. degree or a work ex and then jump into this MBA fray..otherwise...its loss of money n time....

btw, i called up GIM today and it got thru...the lady there told me that they had received my DD on 11th and I will get the details about the laptop alongwith it...

Hey guys, is any one taking his bike to GIM? I have a Pulsar 180DTSi which I plan to take from Kolkata. I had initially planned to take it along with me by train (luggage van), but problem is there is no direct train between Kolkata and Goa. That means I would have to take it to Mumbai, unload it & keep it at the locker room at VT, load it on the Goa train the same evening and then set off. The hassle and costs (including palm-greasing) would simply not be worth it. Anyone got any better ideas?
On a different note, it would be great to have a small biker group at the institute. Goa is prime two-wheel territory, and occassional breaks between tough schedules would be perfect for a small outing. Any takers?

plenty of space to keep ur bikes and yes,they are allowed. It is advisable to bring a bike if u have one as u will need them for projects and all. For a batch of 100, if there will be a total of 20-25 bikes,it wud be good as u will need them for grp projects...

was looking around a few bank websites for loans when i found this:

two things struck me -
1) There's a table of institutes, for which online sanction of loans facility is provided. There's an institute in there of which I have never heard - IIM Chennai... 
...probably they meant **** Chennai...
2) but if they can give online sanction to **** Chennai/a future IIM Chennai 😃 students, then why can't they include a reputed institute like GIM in it...or has GIM got to take initiative in such a case.??? there are a few suckers of instis there in that table...

HI guys sorry for catching up so late.....first some info abt me.....Name is Rajiv Sarin......am from delhi....last 7 yrs was in nagpur and pune for my engg... and job....have a 2.5 yrs exp. .....Love traveling...trekking...swimming...eating(sea food).....and ofcourse drinking....for some godknowswhat!! reason i had left booze and non veg....but hey man i think last 6 months of "severe ABSTAIN" had its impact on me....and after the admit from GIM just cant wait to have a dig at it!!!....GIM - havin been there before...though doesn't have a huge campus....but the atmosphere is v v cosy.....a river flowing just across the road....good road for bike rides....well some1 was asking abt bikes being allowed at GIM....THEY ARE!!!...man how else wud we go to a beach....i think the delhi junta has already met.....guys though im late i wud certainly like to meet u all before landing in GOA....me stayin at defence colony...so ne body stayin nearby or wherever please send a mail([email protected])....My best friend did his MBA frim GIM 2 yrs back and is very well placed.....SOme 1 said something abt the bike gang ...im definately in for it.....if some1 can provide the info as to how much would be the landed cost of purchasing a laptop if i purchase it thru GIM.....

This is KARAN MEHRA. I have got through to GIM too!!! However,can someone answer the below query.
Have everyone of you paid the GIM fees by personally going over there or has anyone has sent the DD through courier ? If you have sent the demand draft through courier, then have you received the official confirmation from GIM coz I have not received it yet and no one at GIM is picking up the phone at the number which was mentioned in the original confirmation letter.

You can call now to enquire .By the way this is Manoj Srivastava, I went personally to GIM to deposit my fees.The Maam oh sorry:huh: Ms Jennifer told me that we will be receiving the batch details , our mentor name , laptop details n of course acknowledgement of fees before the end of this month.But since I went there personally she gave me a xerox of temporary receipt .Pukka receipt might be on its way to us.
