Sounds like a good idea. Am really tied up with work and lots of other stuff so its gonna be down to you to coordinate with the others i.e. Nithin. Shishir, Sanjna, Sweta & Sriram- Phew I didn't know they were so many of us frm this brilliant city!!! Either pm/mail them or hunt them down if necessary. we'll probably hook up at a pub or something, that will be like an appropriate induction too ;-).

Dude Looks like its been a while since you came down to bangalore, the Undergraound is one of the trashiest placees in town! Lets make it to Pecos on rest house rd (thats very close to brigade rd). Folks pl confirm. If a pub is inappropriate we can make it to barista on MG rd. That place is perhaps a better rendezvous point anyways.

One thing, let no one tell you that a laptop ain't important. As I sit here typing this message, by the side, am doing my summer project consisting of price analysis - and believe me - absence of laptop would have left me much less mobile and much less effective.

If you guys are purchasing laptops by yourselves, remember that the GIM wireless standard is 802.11b (802.11g will also do). So Bluetooth will be incompatible & you may have to install an external wireless card, if your laptop doesn't have the above standard. So - those striking out on their own - keep your eyes peeled! Or you may inadvertently not "in" !

It was just that when I was surfing to get some info about lappies -- & after reading what you all said .... I thought that if the GIM guys are giving IBM R 51's this year too ... then I think that Compaq presario V2148AP would be a much better choice as it has better (costs arnd 69 in delhi but if 2-3 people take it we can bargain really hard)
