Hello all,
Guess I woke up from my slumber and have decided to post.
I am in too. Yipeeeeeeeee.
I am sushanth. I have done my Mechanical engineering from MIT manipal.
I have worked for an year or so with Tata Motors at pune & mumbai.
I love soccer, crickets, reading, music etc...
I can speak Hindi, English, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Tulu, Marathi and also manage with a few others.
I love to travel too.
Guess goa will be a good place for all my interests along with the studies ofcourse.

I think it's time the Hyderabad Junta decides on a meeting.
Plz pour in suggestions. Fast.
Maybe we can meet up at the new coffee day that opened up in jubilee hills near hitech city.
should not be too crowded on a weekday.....
or maybe we can jus stick to eat street.....olets make it a weekday evening so tht it we can atleast get a table.....
so guys choose between these two and i guess we have a venue.
time wise im free on any day at around 6.30ish...
wat about the rest of you....?

hey guys..
just got back from goa yesterday..hung out at beaches over the weekend and went to gim on monday . I went at the wrong time, during lunch break, and just managed to pay the fees before the office closed..Its a really spooky place, maybe cos there were so few people. I met our senior..mickey(he says people know him onyl by that name)..really sweet guy showed me around the campus. Saw the hostels..the morgue..lol ..and he aked the watchman..champa..to show me one of the rooms in the girls hostel. its such a small room! 
..a double room ..but they all have balconies which is quite nice..it overlooks the badminton court. Then we went to the main building, all the classrooms were locked..went inside the library which is pretty huge..lots and lots of journals..Also saw the comp lab which mickey said we don't use much. Then went to the room where all the group work takes place..thats the room that has the super view of the river across and of divar island..
Oh and when we were walking through the building we bumped into a few profs 
who mickey intro'd me to..they were really nice..casual types.atleast as of now ..
Also saw the canteen..foods not too great apparently but there's this place called joe's where ppl eat..
And there's a bar right opposite GIM called gini's..lol..
Overall nice campus..its got great character..lovely place to be in for the next two years..except that the hostel rooms are sooo small :huh: ..gotta get used to that 😃
The admission lady..jennifer said that we;d receive a letter end of this month giving us all details including laptop specs and also which warden to report to so that we can ask about the rooms:)
mrinalini..first few mornings and afternoons in goa were extremely hot but you kinda get used to that and its not so ad anymore..nights are very pleasant..
hey aniket and sushant, welcome to the ever increasin no. of pagals at GIM... :)
seems, there are quite a few with work ex in family businesses...and sushant, you know too many lingo's man...my stay in Chennai has taught me I am not that good at learning them :)...will be nice meetin u ppl there in GIM...
abt the laptops...vikram - seems u planning to buy from coll...most probably i too am goingg to do so...thanks for those links...
and shashi can you please give us the specs of the R51 you got last year.?

vikram - that special offer is a nice one...its a good enuf thing for 58K/67K...just if they could provide 512 MB of RAM(for somethin extra, it would be nice)...
anirudh - man we are also unsure of it, but as of now, it seems buyin it from the institute itself is a good enuf option if they provide substantial discount(like they did last yr) and also coz of any maintenance problems that may arise later on...
btw, sushant, u've got lotsa hobbies dude...but the most fascinating part i found was that u love crickets...probably you could give anish some new recipes...
i m on 2nd list .does anybody knows more about it...i mean no. of students in it n expected students to be picked 4m it.
