Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from ICFAI_Hyderabad

I need feedback regarding the magazines/journals of ICFAI press on finance. Can anyone tell me whether these are good enough to subscribe to? What is the annual subscription charge for each magazine for a year (For students)?

Thanks a lot tumtum.... I have been reading the accounts of 11th and 12th for almost a month..... will start economics shortly..... I am still unsure about two things
Whether going for the coaching classes provided by Icfai helps in anyway (money is secondary)
Secondly whats suitable for me to appear for the october exam or appear in january for Group A .... as I dont have a job so I can dedicate all my efforts for this preparation....
and I just want a rough idea how much should I dedicate in terms of hours, per week for passing group A

You should be preparing for the July'09 exam- not October'09 or Jan'10. That will be too late. If like you say, you can study full time, then there is no point in waiting till October'09 and giving the exam in Jan'10 is a criminal waste of time.

Devote a good 10 hours per day and you should be through with stellar grades even if you don't have any background in accounting.

Feel free to ask for more.

I read "The Analyst" regularly and frankly speaking, its a magazine with power-packed content and independent research articles from the PhD students/ CFAs of ICFAI. You should definitely subscribe to this one for sure.

Can't comment on others but one thing is sure, you can almost be sure that they must be of a good quality.

Vaibhav.

Kindly read the full article before panicking. This article concerns the Bangalore Campus of the ICFAI Institute of Science & Technology and NOT ICFAI Business School. These are separate entities under the ICFAI umbrella.
Read the full article and then panic. There is no reference about IBS, so chill out.

Please do not start this whole thing again Jaini.

I am a CFA from ICFAI and I am proud of it. With the recognition that goes with this degree, I have got into a top investment bank.

I am convinced that this can be the best investment that one can make in his/her career and I am talking on the basis of my own experience. I am not talking after reading some newspaper or some blog cursing ICFAI.
