if a person is an engineer and he has a gud amount of interest in finance(though he doesnt knw much about it) .. should he go for CFA?? and if yes then how will it help in future?? do reply.. puys...

i called ICFAI tripura to know abt the fees
they said 24k
20k for material and 4k for enrollment +2 modules test
can we write test without taking their study material.........please help me out on this
Are the books given for 20K worth for going ? and what if we du nt want buks for all levels

Its a marketing job. now i want to go for further study course and i have two options to choose from. one... i can go for a correspondence MBA degree with my job.. which add value to my present going secnario. And then after completing it . i can go for a CFA course later on for further exposure.. and second. i should go for a CFA right now with my job.. and after completing it i would go for a regular MBA degree from a very good institute .. like XLRI, ISB OR IIFT. but which one is better option i dont know... i really dont know.. please help .. thnx..
well i feel keep working in the present job and prepare for cat and other entrance exams..give them next year..u will have sufficient work ex and will stand a good chance..

Thats what turned out in my case. I pursued CFA along with my job. Soon after completing it, I did GMAT and have now secured admission to the 2009 Class of ISB. My all these years of earnings have helped me meet atleast upto 40% of the cost of admission.

you can get admission to CFA from ICFAI university, provided you want to do it in a regular or a distance education. In my opinion its better to get a job and then join CFA course.

Hi ; I have enrolled into the course MS finance ; but the material which i recieved is of 2006 (group alpha) i recieved micro ; macro and financial accounts ; buks are these correct;
secondly what should be the way to study ; rite now I first go through study guide and then solve workbook i am leaving out text books almost completely coz they are huge ; I am from non commerce background and full time working
Thirdly how good are icfai training classes
