heard cl has the closest resemblance to actual cat.i have also started serious preparation 2 weeks ago ,so chill
i am not a veteran bro.this will be my first cat attempt.
i think four months is more than enough to crack cat.dont lose your hope.so aim for high percentiles .sky is the limit
try to analyse each and every mock and identify your weakness and strengths.then try to work on that.

sriraman 89 first of all welcome to this group....if you are first timer i would definitely recommend you to join time and enroll for any test series as soon as possible

Yes... Since u r a first timer , i suggest you join any of the centres that have a very active weekday batch if possible so that you can make up for starting late...
Go join any of the test series , dont worry about missin out on the earlier ones , you will be able to take them later on..
@ aLL ... screwed proc mocks 1,2 and 3...SEC2 is proving to be my nemesis
SEC1 , m able to do jus okay..around about the 75-90 percentiles.... Started with preps yest. only
Started with QUANTUM CAT for Quant and Norman Lewis for verbal...
Also planning to regularily go through the TIME material for SEC2 .. Baadly neeed some inspiration :P

Norman Lewis is a good choice for verbal.I've been able to score 97-99% consistently in sec 2 in the past few mocks after i started working through the book.Not just because of the greater number of words i learn, but because i'm simultinuously improving my reading speed in the process.I'm sure u'll be able to achieve 95+% in sec 2 by the time of CAT 2012 provided that you religiously work on it.All the best bro.......

Hey Sriraman,welcome to the group buddy
.Just as my friends kevin, joe, iimlover etc have mentioned above, i would suggest that you join a coaching class at the earliest.Because,it ensures that you will be left with enough time to analyze the mocks you have taken and to strategize by the time of the actual CAT.This is more important than plainly taking the tests.Good luck with your cat preparation.Hope that you'll be active on this thread

Try to take the Mock test results with a pinch of salt.:nono:
They provide false confidence & false demotivation (atleast in my case!!! :sneaky:)
Remember CAT is more of a mind game
...a game of selections where accuracy is the redeeming factor and one who can hold his nerves on the D-day is destined for success.So don't get demotivated looking up the high scorers here.
BTW scores from Rooney575, battlemonger & co are proving to be a double edged sword---awe inspiring & at the same time hurting my ego
; telling me to go back to school!!!All of us will find out our weaknesses and strong areas through the journey.Cover up those weaknesses and build up a game plan to capitalize on your strengths.
