hi all, what about a pg meet in cochin on 24 th june(sunday)?please post your valuable suggestions. All other studygroups in pg are conducting meet on a regular basis, then why are we shying away from this:banghead:. come on puys, please suggest the venue, suitable date, time and all...............
Good Suggestion:clap:... However i am currently stationed outside kerala:banghead: & hence wont be able to make it...
Regarding activity, all of us need to seriously step up... Mumbai n NCR study groups are really buzzing with activity...
I will try to contribute a bit more consistently & with more frequency !!!
Team...while on my usual business of lurking in PG during office hours i came across this signature which really inspired me by naga25french...
" To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research... " Following suit, i hope the entire team can start posting links/ 'extracts' of awesome posts/shortcuts/problems/threads etc which u guys come across in PG. Obviously, authenticity is invaluable, but for a few puys like me... who periodically fall short of words... will try to step up activity here through these means... Cheers !!!
P.S : Would have loved quoting that line to my professors during college...
For the uninitiated : Simplest method for finding out the Rightmost non-zero digit of n! or R(n!) R(n!) = Last Digit of [ 2a x R(a!) x R(b!) ] where n = 5a + b
Example: What is the rightmost non-zero digit of 37! ? R (37!) = Last Digit of [ 27 x R (7!) x R (2!) ] R (37!) = Last Digit of [ 8 x 4 x 2 ] = 4
Example: What is the rightmost non-zero digit of 134! ? R (134!) = Last Digit of [ 226 x R (26!) x R (4!) ] R (134!) = Last Digit of [ 4 x R (26!) x 4 ] We need to find out R (26!) = Last Digit of [ 25 x R (5!) x R (1!) ] = Last digit of [ 2 x 2 x 1 ] = 4 R (134!) = Last Digit of [ 4 x 4 x 4 ] = 4
I staretd taking CL mock and this is what has happened in last mock
I could attempt only 6 questions out of 30 in QA , and got only only 3 correct .I am getting scared about my quant attempts . I have learnt the basics and I have been atleast average in mathematics . But here I am doing very badly .
This is my first attempt and started preparing 2 months back only . first time CAT taker. I guess I havent solved enough number of problems for practice.

Regarding scores.. its still early days bro..just keep the spirit n the fight goin... I have yet to give PROC MOCK 2...but i heard it was a tough nut to crack...so dont get too disheartened...:nono:
Abt disaster...Ha..ha..you should have seen my first year mock scores!!
I really dont know whether i'm the guy to give advice about QA... Thought i was good during school n col but the CAT seems to think otherwise!!! Pugna, raku, rohan, zedai, QA gods n lurkers alike..share your advice...
When i'm down... i generally turn to these words of inspiration...
"In the words of Alfred Pennyworth, "Why do we fall, sir? So that we might better learn to pick ourselves up"

Dont worry dude.Everything is going to be fine.Dont feel dishearted over your first mock score.Just make sure that you cover the basics and come up with strategies that would help you crack the exam.Remember, Failures are the stepping stones to success for only those who identify their shortcomings, carefully study them and take conscious steps to avoid such mistakes in the future.Be confident and also enjoy the whole process of preparation. All the best.........
1) fiding square of a number ending with 5 . e.g : - 625* 625 . last 2 rightmost digits will be 5^2 = 25 . next, take the left out digits .. here it is 62 . Multiply 62 * (62 +1 ) = 3906 . now , combine . so 625^2 = 390625 another eg: - 1515 * 1515 , last 2 digits - 25 . now 151 * 152 = 22952. so 1515 ^ 2 = 2295225
Hey guyz.........Sorry for not being active on the thread as of late.My MODEM got damaged due to high voltage and there was no net connection at home.Anyway,i had good results in the recent mocks
