Can you tell me how is the sound quality for it.....and moreover how much extra have you paid for it(mean hidden cost and delievery charges)..have you purchased it from outlet or ordered it from website
I found sound very good. Its loud n clear.
They charge 900 for delivery bt i got discount so all this cost got covered up.
I ordered online. As its the only way to get genuine product with DISCOUNT.
But ya if you can convince them for discount thn u may fetch discount of 3-4%.
So after discount it will cost u aroun 31500-31820 (approx)
Plus u may get a small gift u pay thru credit card.
(Like they give me a dell mouse worth rp 300 as a gift.)
You can also take name n number of dell agent from me who process my order. He can directly offer u some discount if u r a student.

But in dell u have preloaded windows in ua laptop. saved in hard drive.
it comes with 64 bit preinstall. but u can install 32 bit windows 7 tooo.
U have got that option in dell. u can choose 32 or 64 bit .

i am planning to buy a macbook...can somebody point out the cons or other alternatives
Pros: - they're aesthetically pleasing - fast and, if you get the right machine, have amazing graphics (MacBooks DO display great graphics, but the graphics on the Mac Pro, MacBook Pro and iMacs are better) - Comes with a lot of standard software that PC's don't (email client, photo album, calendar, etc) - Very knowledgeable and helpful support should you need it - Many viruses/trojans/spyware are written to work on Windows based operating systems, not Apple's OS. - They just work - You don't often hear of someone buying an Apple computer and regretting it - Apple offers student discounts (10%, I believe)
Cons: - More expensive - Not easily upgradable - Any upgrades you may want after purchases can be pricey (i.e. - more memory) - If you try to upgrade your system yourself, you'll more than likely void your warranty just by opening up the computer - They don't have AS MUCH software options that are compatible with their OS as with Windows (though there are a lot of software options and more are coming each day)
