If you wanna go for a sleek, killer look kinda tin, then probably Sony will be better.
Dell, on the other hand will be low on price.
However, if u wanna go for a robust, class-apart (cos I own one 😁 )kinda tin, go for ThinkPad

i think u cud get a celeron or something for as less as 35k.....for a centrino it might be closer to 45k though.
I don't think going for a scond hand laptop is too safe an option.....do it only if you know the vendor really well, and he agrees to take care of it if something goes wrong

I would recommend Vaio FS......Nothing can beat the looks n performance of a VAIO (My opinion

I agree...Thinkpads are the most rugged amongst the whole lot...So 1 shud definitely go for a thinkpad if there r chances that the laptop will b subjected to rough use..!!:grab:

I would suggest not to shift to a new OS if you are comfortable with windows. Also, apple not being very popular in india, you would face some compatability issues. But, if you are a techy and willing to some R&D;, go ahead with the macbook.

Sorry buddy...NO CLUE on tht front. All I hv dun is - looked in awe at the wondeful graphics of macs in stores....
i'm buyin dell 630m as am goin 2 be on the run all the time it has excellenet battery backup.approx. 7 hrs with the 9 cell battery.disadvantage is that it has integrated graphics nd is nt suitable 4 high end gaming.i saw this sony vaio fj series lappy,seemed like a good machine.can neone enlighten me on the fj series sony notebooks?
