hey guys need a quick reply, my brother is coming from US and he has a friend returning from china, now i want to buy a laptop and know which one i want, the only problem is price. Can someone tell me if i want to buy a lenovo then it would be cheaper from US or china. Please give informed replies and no guesses. Note: tried surfing the chinese website, it is difficult to understand even after google translation.

Dont buy ACER laptop not satisfied... some reasons 1)LCD is not so good.. 2)Become too hot 😞 3)Volume is too low that you cant listen it's sound if tv is on in other room

i gess you shd stretch your budget a lil and go for i3 gen1....tho you dont want to use it for gamin or other complex tasks....but it can still provide you better multitasking...i gess there are some i3 laptops from HCL (ME series) and acer that might fit your budget ...go to ther respective sites ...or pay a visit to some stores like croma...acer or HCL might provide you with better resolution laptops than HP...HP laptops i gess are more expensive than acer/hcl...and the later 2 can offer you more at the same price...

Requirements: Basic stuff like excel ,power point and movies No gaming, no complex software's ( i am no longer a SW engineer)
Only interest is in good RAM (hate waiting for the programs to load)

Intel I3 -2310 M (2nd generation) 14'' screen 4GB DDR3 RAM ( 2 slots ...both used..expandable upto 8GB) No OS (need a clarification here...i can install windows 7 right???) 2.1 GHZ processor speed ( what would be its importance) Cache 3 MB HD LED screen SATA (i dont the importance of this..kindly enlighten) 500 GB HD Chipset : Intel HM 65 ( also do enlighten on this)
