That I would say is a better deal if I get it for somewhere less than 45k mark. Coz HP dv6-6016tx model comes close to that mark with a similar spec.

Also have to check out the lenovo z570 series and y570 series.

I might go with the 15R because the 14R is a let down at that price range.

EDIT : Also any idea on when Dell will be out with the new XPS 15z model???
gr8, there lies the reason why dv4 is light and more portable than dv6. A trade off basically 😃 Any idea about the price of dv4??? i cudnt find but i believe it shud be less than dv6.

puys,

Difference between windows 7 home basic and premium?

If suppose someone is not a gamer, then what are the areas he can find the usage of a dedicated graphics card over a intel integrated graphics??

How HP compares against Dell in terms of reliability and after sales support?

Thanks,
Saravanan M

1)hp is nt bad in terms of aftr sales; but dis is sumthn quite debatable; some wud say its gud n sum wud say its bad; seeing d overall scenario,i wud say hp has a good market penetration so gud aftr sales suport.
2)d only major difrnce btwn win7 home basic n premium is dat latter has a suport for touch screen interface while win7 home basic doesnt.
3)a dedicated gpu provides u improved frames per second ; if u nt a gamer i think intel hd graphics wud do well for u.
4)PRICES !!! i l let u knw d prices by tmrw

i am also extremely keen for the Inspiron 15 Would place the order tomorrow to get the system asap !

Between alienware 11mx and Dell XPS 15 which one to go for?

TO ALL:
It has come to Dell's notice that some partners have been indulging in sales of Dell products which have not been procured from Dell india Private Limited ("Dell") . These products have been secured from an unauthorized channel, by way of parallel imports but being sold in the India market , which is totally unacceptable to Dell. Please note that warranty support by Dell is accorded only to those products that are purchased through Dell's authorised channel or those that are transferred in accordance with Dell's policies and procedures. Any products that are purchased in violation of the above will not be eligible for warranty support by Dell.

Way to check Authenticity is to punch Service tag no in Dell India website

Here are simple steps for the same

Go to Product Support page and then to System configuration
Input the service tag number and click search button
The first result page will show warranty and also Country belonging to
Now go to original configuration tab and you will find all Import boxes will mention Thai Keyboard , Thai Mod Specs , etc. which tells it is an import box. In case of India material it is written English Keyboard , India Mod Specs etc.

Sandeep have sent you a PM again!
