hi if u want gud battery life then inspiron provides better backup than xps and cost is also less.. xps 14 does not have latest processors and wouldn't be gud deal other wise they are ultimate...
macbook pro 13 costs arnd 72k in india aftr student discount..so over all its a good deal since u r buyn it from US, u l hav to confirm does the laptop has an international warranty (generaly it doesnt) owning an apple doesnt hav negatives as such xcpt from the software problem. u need to hav a set of ur own mac compatible software which ur friends might not have. before purchasing any device for ur laptop or even any software u hav to c whether its mac compatible or not. that shortens ur choice range as we dont hav many mac fans in india Ms office is not bundled with the system.u l hav to purchase it separately.
Thanks buddy....I have checked with the Apple store. Apple products have 1 yr international warranty. So thats not a concern.
The other question that went unanswered was the after-sales service part of the product. 1) How is the service? 2) Is the service costly?

Thank you.
service after completion of ur warranty is very costly. service usualy takes some time a apple doesnt offer onsite warranty and doesnt hav a very large customer base in india to do d same. p.s. ,r u sure u hav confrmd d international warranty becoz goods bought fr the US genrly dont hv internationl warrnty owing to their low price their

if u want a very light laptop , u cn go fr DELL vostro v130. it hardly weighs 1.6 kgs. but doesnt hv a built in dvd drive. specs are as follows: core i3 processor, 2gb ram, 500 gb hdd, windows 7, 15 months trend micro antivirus, 13.3" display... Rs. 38500
I am so badly confused....most probably getting my laptop from US....have 2 weeks time....I want one which can play heavy games at a good framerate, has a good media playback and multitasking abilities...my budget was around 30-35000 but since i wud be getting it from US,because of low prices there, budget virtually becomes 45000 INR...Please suggest some good laptop meeting my requirements. And also tell which graphics card is better,AMD Radeon or NVIDIA GeForce, or any other better than these? and how does it compare with Intel HD Graphics upto 1.6 gb Dynamic Video.

since ur budget is arnd 35k i wud recommend to go for compaq. also u also like to play heavy games a graphics card is a must. at this price level ati and nvidia are at par....its at the high end spectrum u need to decide, at this price point any1 will do... i am using compaq presario 621 with a 512mb dedicated graphics card..i got it for 32.5k...its working flawless...if u want the windows rating of the hardware i can post that as well... the config is-core2duo 2.1ghz 2 gb ram. (got expanded to 4gb at 2500 extra) ati graphics card the sound quality form speakers is awesome but its not as loud as say a dell. i am pretty satisfied with my machine. nd i see no reason why u cant be.:cheerio:

also u l get hp g62 - corei3, 3 gb ram,320 gb hdd, windows 7, 1 gb ati graphics for Rs.36750... slightly above ur budgt ..but a very good buy
Dude its touching 42000 for the configs i want....told u,budget is around 30-35k....
dedicated graphics are far better than integrated graphics. integrated graphics like intel HD graphics rely on RAM sharing so they r ultimately increasing the load on ur RAM usage
