u can also go for dell inspiron 14R.....configurations u can customise,,,,i got i5 processor 2.27 Ghz..320 hdd,,1 gb ATI 5470 graphics card for around 40k
ati 5650 1 gb is much better than ati 5470 gb ....if anybody wants to use laptop for gaming then strictly stay away from 5470...

Dell INS 14 R with i3 is available 4 about 37k here in NCR...should i take i3 or go 4 i5???

Hey i just bought acer timeline 4820TG which also has an ATI Radeon 5650 1 GB and i5 processor. The main feature is the big battery backup. I used it for 6 hours on first charge with songs on alongwith file transfering. And is amazingly light weight. Only thing i dint like is the sound from speakers (though it has dolby wid virtual surround). I would have liked it to be louder. But I am jus loving this lappy.

Is lenovo provide you onsite service?? What is the warranty terms of lenovo? Have you ever faced any problem in your laptop and how's your service experience?
1 thing for all seeking after sales service.
* All brands provide bad service....all means all....1 thing common to all is they r not at all intrested in providing u after sales service...the experience u'll get while demanding service will be = (experience u got while buying)^(1/3).
* If ur intrested in selecting best from worst dell provides a little better service.
* experience will not b tht bad if ur living in metros...if lik me u cant afford metros n liv in suburbs...u'll hav worst of all experiences.
* I remember 1 ...as u all might know tht dell provides onsite warranty...i called up dell office n shared my prob...they said tht they wont dispatch an engg/personnel for this issue n i myself hav to workout to solve ...he said get right sized screwdriver...open the case ...and so on...he was giving me instructions on ph....im n engg...so it was fine for me...now imagine same situation fr a lame person...and if u end up messing anything...they r not responsible for tht...because tht will not be a manufacturing fault n u urself did mistake...lol on this.
another alternative is carry ur laptop to the service centre which was atleast 2.5hrs away frm my house...n ya they will hav ur laptop for atleast a week ...n more in some cases...and most probably they will end up with a issue whr u'll hav to pay.
* and im pretty sure that other brands provide even worse service.
PS: due to above reasons ... look for build quality and search for design issues also ...they r the most imp factors in laptop...buy as if ur never forced to use after sales service...because aftr tht u'll hate ur m/c.
