Are there any showrooms for exclusively for DELL in Delhi?

I am from Kolkata,and there is no online delivery system here.
And no Dell showrooms in Kol too, so no possibility of cusomization i guess :-(

Am going for FORE ,so was thinking of buying it from Delhi itself if there were any showrooms there.

I was planning to buy a Dell Inspiron 15R (Core i3,320 GB hdd,3GB RAM,15",Win 7 Home basic,3 yr warranty) at 35k.But apparently there's an additional Rs.3000 as excise duty.:-( Did you all have to pay it? They didn't offer any student's discount either.

What do you all think of Lenovo 560 (Core i3,320 GB hdd, 4 GB RAM,15" Win 7 premium,1 yr warranty) at 35K? Does it have any known problems? How long does the battery last before recharging?

From where did you buy that in Chennai & any type of discount available? And did you asked if it is possible to customize anything in the above i.e. getting a 1GB GF or such ?(in that case obviously we have to order by paying advance I suppose)

I don't think they customize Graphics. Cooling issues i think...however there was another one EB 15. in the showroom. 1GB graphics. It comes to around 42K-43K.
Bought it in Mount Road Sony Showroom...
Yes Discount is available if u try hard...I got it (37,000 + Mouse)..actual cost 37,990

i am frm lucknow and i also bought one but i got at 38200 (only 2% discount on price i e, 38990) without any accesories except lappy bag. Did u got any other discount and from where u bought it.

can any one tell wat is the best practice when it comes to charging a laptop?I mean shud we wait for the battery to get completely drained or shud we charge the battery before it is completely drained?

Hard disk : 320GB
Graphic Card : ATI HD Radeon 5470 512MB
Battery : 6 cell
Warranty : 1 year onsite service.
and all other basic things that apply to a lappy.

Price :41,600 including VAT.
Free accessories: 4GB HP pen drive, USB Mouse, I Ball Headphone

P.S. - I was a bit worried about the 1 year warranty.The salesman confirmed that after 6 months and before 9 months the warranty can be extended for another 2 years by giving another Rs.5000.

I got a info from a dealer in NCR that SONY is going to increase the price of its laptops by 8-12 % due to heavy volatilty in Foreign exchange.

I know the dealer personally and its not one of his sales technique. He said that the increase may come in 7-10 days. You guys can confirm this from a dealer near you who deals only in SONY

sony doesn't hav gud battery back up wen compared to inspiron and in inspiron u can avail 9 cell battery option

on other hand sony doesnt get heated bt inspiron do
so its difficult choice to make!!!!!!!!

hey please avoid touch screens... dey get bad easily and hp isn't da best with touch screen panels... if u r really interested in touchscreens dr are better machines in asus and mac inventories... my advice avoid....
