[2020-2022] [Official] SIBM Pune Admissions

can anyone throw light on pio,oci,nri admission? do they participate in placement, what is average profile and fees for them?

@aannkkiitt You can find all the relevant information regarding your query from the Symbiosis Centre For International Education.

Once a SIBM Pune student, there's no demarcation of any sort between anyone. We're all one. We do not calculate average salary or profile for any specific category. Profiles and salaries offered are very good, and on par with THE best business schools in India.

I filled the snap application online and applied for SIBM then only. Later I got a mail that I have to complete the registration process on the SIBM site also. But I am not able to login on that website with my SNAP ID and password. Is this a technical glitch or am I doing something wrong ?

I have filled up the application form for SIBM and have paid for it as well.. but i dont see a "submit application" button anywhere.. Does that mean that the application has been submitted?
Hi Puys, even i have the same problem. In SCMHRD, there is a SUBMIT button under the preview tab, but the same is not visible in SIBM. How do we submit our application? I am getting repeated reminders about completing the application process of SIBM. Please Help!!
@rappaghosh Even I have the same problem. Do we have any resolution for it?

You can log on to and click on the My Mails tab. You should have received a 'Registration Successful' mail there. If you have filled in the registration form duly, made the payment and still haven't received the mail, you might want to contact the IT department at:
044-42272727
According to the latest information I have from the college, all payments made until 8th October have been cleared. It is still safer to make a check.

Mails that you receive asking you to complete your registration are merely remainder mails, and can be ignored if you have completed the process and received a successful registration mail.

Cheers!
@DanRay Thanks.!! I called them up on the no you mentioned and they told me that the registration process is complete. Ignore these mails which you are getting. They also told me there is no submit button and the information gets submitted automatically when you save all the details. Thanks for your support again. :)

the official website snaptest.org is not showing rhe SIIB's name .. Y SO ? even though in their own siib's website when i login they show fees paid/ no amount due..

Happy to help! :)

I am currently pursuing my B.E. degree and in the sibm form there is a field "Special/Optional Subject" but i dont know the subjects till now as i am currently in my training period and i will come to know the subjects in the last sem...so what should i fill for ECE as it is a mandatory field???

@5ucce55

If you do not have any choice to fill the Special/Optional subject field with, you may write Not Applicable in the same. However, I am not able to understand how you do not know the subjects in your course. Make sure you have a valid reason before you fill it in as Not Applicable.

Cheers :)
@VenkataramanR I am very keen to join SIBM my scores are

SSC 63
HSC 53(I had failed once in HSC and reappeared for all papers)

@Sunil.Bathini
As per the current rules of SIBM Pune, you are eligible to apply. The requirements are mentioned on both the institute and SNAP website. (Minimum of 50% marks in graduation from a recognized university).

does SIBM P encourages diversity in batch? how many non-engis in the current batch?

@redd
I am sure that SIBM-Pune would love to have a good diversity in the batch. I am not sure of the exact percentage right now, but we do have a healthy representation of non-engineers.

At the same time, I must point out that one cannot and should not measure things like 'encouragement to diversity' simply by looking at the batch. SIBM Pune, similar to most colleges has an unbiased selection process, where no extra marks are given to people for their backgrounds. In view of this, it is solely the candidate's performance that counts. One cannot check if the institute is treating engineers and non-engineers differently by looking at the batch's break-up because this background is not given any special weight. If a Commerce or a Management graduate is better than an engineer he is picked up without second thoughts.

The coursework too, is designed keeping in mind the difference in abilities of various students across backgrounds. We actually have a couple of students with a Law degree who gave up Math in 10th. They have no issues with core math topics like statistics because of the way it is structured.

Cheers! :)

i have developed interest in finance during my internships, i want to capitalize through n m.b.a from symbiiiiiii brand,have planned to take SNAP this year,how sibm helps me in achieving my dream(considering my background)??and pls clarify on b'lore/pune (i shud go for)

@jaiswalicsi
You have quite the right background for an MBA in finance, at least in terms of the relevance. SIBM Pune is one of the most prestigious B-Schools in India, and our brand is shared by all four specializations (Marketing, Finance, Operations and HR) alike. Need I say more? Our reputation mostly speaks for itself.
As for making a choice between Pune and Bangalore, that would be an open comparison and that is not allowed on an forum like this. However, VenkatramanR gave a very good ideology to pick the right B-school a few posts ago. I suggest you go through it. Making an informed decision between the two is not that hard a job after that... ;)

Hi seniors. Thanks for all the prompt replies. Has been really helpful. I have a few queries.

1. Does experience play any part in the selection process ? (For eg: If 2 candidates have the same score after SNAP score, GD & PI will the candidate with more experience be at an advantage?)
2. Also any ideas on how to prepare for the General Awareness section?
3. Is it true that there are no sectional cut offs in SNAP?

it's been a week or two since i sent my pay in slip to sibm but still no confirmation of the same from the admsn office.

tried to call them up but they r'nt recievng calls and haven't ryplied to my mail also.
jus wondering wht shud i do now ?
seniors plz help !!
@DanRay
@hemandi

1. No. Work-Ex doesn't play a part in the SNAP process. If two candidates have the same score after their SNAP test, GD and PI, their past performances (10th, 12th and Grad) are considered. During my time, there were people with the same composite score, and they used to be ranked the same. I will take an example of the wait-list. In the wait-list two people with the exact same composite score were tied at the same position (say 10), and the next person was given the 12th position (and not 11th). The case of tie-handling is at the discretion of the evaluators, but it has been mentioned time and again, that work-ex is NOT a game changer.

2. For general awareness, good current affairs and reading habits (which were preferably formed long ago) are important. Go through some important historical amendments, five year plans, major policy changes, and sport and literary events as well. It is VERY vast and in my honest opinion, there's not much you can do. The preparation for this is a long term thing, quite like that for RC and vocab.

3. There wasn't a sectional cut-off in SNAP the last year and the year-before-last. That's not to say anything about this time. It's a competitive test. Go in prepared for some ugly surprises (where's the thrill otherwise?).

Cheers! :)
